since I too have worked with these with my line of work I understand thier functions. the point I believe you may see any real benifit would be at larger weights because the tention would be based on strain on the cord strain relief. and makes me wonder if at lighter weights it would de little more than stretch skin? but I do think at larger weights this might be the trick. just my thoughts of course. now to bad we couldn't find them that look like a "finger catcher" with a basket like handle so it could be placed totally behind the gland and on the wrap.
gomer I think most of your problem with slipping is the weight issue. how much are you hanging at? and do you actually feel any internal stretching of just surface stretching of the skin and maybe some tissue at less weight?
