Vasiliy was a true hero, but Enemy at the Gates is all but not truthful, because Soviet officers didn't actually shot at their own soldiers , there was no retreating or running away from boats, they didn't have to retreat at all, you know the Russian is mad :D so Russian charges no matter what, just give him a rifle, one round and point him in the Kraut, that's about it :D
