Kind of. The evil one works in crafty ways. He does not come right out with the temptation to the sin. He gives slight, barely noticeable suggestions that lead to small noticed steps to the bigger sins. If you read in the Masturbation Confessional posts you will see the long journey that is made from innocence to failure. Satan used subtlety to cause mayhem.

And Brothers should also be very conscious of the 7 deadly sins. Now, understand, none of these are sins but they are acts/state of mind that if not kept in check will bring you to sin. People see lust as being wrong, that is a sili statement as without lust we could never find a compatible mate. Where does lust go from innocence to sin? When you covet. The second you covert you have crossed the line. Again, pride, nothing wrong with it, it is a positive emotion that helps us accomplish things in life and adds to our self confidence but too much pride we start to become egotistical which leads to sin. I will do one more, anger. There is nothing wrong with anger, Jesus was angry when He flipped tables over in the temple. Anger becomes sinful when we hold on to it and refuse to forgive or we seek revenge. Jesus gave us very clear and concise understandings of what is right and what is wrong. We can not add or take away from this nor can we change them through opinion or justification. And understand, these are set in place to give you a good life, not a punishment.

I have little interstate in masturbation, my issue is with ��. The root problem is watching �� not the ending result, masturbation. Of course I can masturbate without any stimuli but to me that is not fun nor does it bring me pleasure. Science?, there is no reason that a man needs to ejaculate, the body will naturally perform this function if needed. And if this does not happen I might then take steps to make it happen for health reasons (which I am even starting to doubt are true.) Okay, I was a little confused about the exact reason then. I thought it was partially due to not being able to get aroused without ��.

Now I understand clearly. You've accomplished other goals that you've set for yourself so with the right mindset and determination you'll get this eventually. I doubt I can help in any way but I'm proud of anyone who sets a goal for the right reasons and makes it to (and past) the finish line.

90 days or three months is a very strong goal, but as you wrote, it can take that amount of time for the body and mind to "reset."
And I like to concur with that fact; many changes just don't come over night. "Rome wasn't built in a day." A bit of a boring quote, but as I don't know the Bible very well and don't want to do any cherry picking, at least in a general sense, I quote something easier.

Yeah I did mess up but I am kind of lost to why. I did not have any lustful feelings during the day at all, the day was actually very nice. I went to dinner with my family for Easter. I did a lot of praying. I spent time with my Grandbabbies and Son which was awesome. There is nothing to count for this but perhaps a natural cycle that comes after 7-14 days. I really wish I would have nocturnal ejaculation but this does not happen. It was almost as I was very hungry, I went to get something to eat and I went to sleep. It was almost mechanical. None the less I still fell so it is back to day 1. I think I was also becoming overwhelmed with the 90 days. I think I will change the thread to 30 days, making it more attainable and realistic.

The Christian perspective; I realize that God loves me very much and that He knows I am doing my best to curb this habit I have had my whole life. I do not doubt the forgiveness I have been given and I know that Christ has already has forgotten the sin. I am now forgiving myself and in doing so I would like to use this for good and not guilt. A verse that comes to mind is

“For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it” St. Paul

This is so close to the truth I am trying to explain!

yep30 days sounds more realistic and attainable than 90 i have been doing the same whit my exercises i have to measure evrymonth even when gains wont show the way i want to...

God loves us all and he knows about our future toughts dont you think..You will deal whit that permanently lust,dirty toughts,sinful situations etc theyll always show.keeping masturbation at bay..Will be a really hard challenge..

I've been celibate and not by choice at times. One time I was utterly depressed and realized that every 7-10 days I needed a release. I was also much younger, 30 at the time, and I think my hormones were much higher as my sex drive was still really strong leading up to that.

It really isn't a life for everyone. If you are meant to be with someone she will come along in a way that you can't ignore it. As in God won't put her there, he'll trip you with a hand on the back of your neck to slam your face into her to get the point across (figuratively speaking, of course). Don't ignore it if it happens. We wouldn't be such a socially driven species if God intended for us to be alone.
