the problem with sheaths , is they lose there stickyness after a while , and then the hanger just keeps losing pressure!! ive been using elastic bands and it helps, but im a compulsive person AND want to change sheaths at least once a month

but money is not even an issue , its getting them, i cant even buy them no one is selling them?:(

Warning: This only a thought...

Why don't you dudes try some one elses sheets ? I mean, there are other vacuum hangers out there which use sheets right? Buy those and try them out.
Who knows maybe they will work like a charme and then your problems are gone.

Just a thought dudes...

Peace

Mike

Update:

The heat shrink tubing is not the same thing, not even close. The material we need is silicone and it is probably custom made. I bet we can contact some silicone tubing manufacturers and they can custom make some tubing for us. If you have heard of the Vacu-hanger from www.autoextender.com, they have the same sheaths as the max vac only they are longer and they have a 1/8" thick wall on them instead of 1/16" like the max vac sheaths. I contacted them and they said they could custom make some tubing for me but I haven't received a price quote yet.

I did some more searching and I found some other companies that sell this type of tubing as well.

http://www.advantapure.com/apst-silicone-tubing.htm
Part #APST-1000-1125 is the tubing with a 1" diameter and a 1/16" (0.63) wall thickness like our sheaths.

http://www.newageindustries.com also sells it and they quoted me $4.34 per foot and the smallest roll they sell is 25 feet. So $108.50 + shipping for 100 3" sheaths isn't bad at all. To get 100 sheaths from BTC, it would cost you roughly $250 + shipping IF he even had that many.

http://www.accuflowsystems.com/html/tubes.htm#STHTC
This company sells a similar product as well made by Sani-Tech but I'm not sure what sizes they have available.

http://www.stiflow.com/tubing_silicone_sthtc.htm
This company sells the same thing but the part number is STHT-C-1000-2.

I haven't received a price quote back from most of these companies yet but you can bet that they will allow you to have more sheaths for a lot less money. Also, we will need more sheaths faster in the future because if you hang 8+ hours a day, your sheaths WILL NOT last 4-6 weeks. If they last more than a week with that amount of time hanging I would be shocked. I have been hanging 3 hours per day at 5 pounds and the two sheaths I used lasted 2 weeks. I could have made them last a little bit longer but it took me like 30 minutes to make them get a good seal. I hope this helps.

The only others I have found that could work straight from the manufacturer are the sheaths used with the Vacu-Hanger from www.autoextender.com. However, the guy I emailed said he could custom make the tubing for me with a 1/16" wall instead of the 1/8" wall they normally sell. Then again, the 1/8" wall might be more durable, I'll just have to try them out in a little while and see.

The problem I've had is that the sheaths stretch out too much and that is what causes the loss of pressure for me. Holding a lighter or other high heat source near the sheaths will cause them to shrink back down some but I'm not sure how effective that would be. Hopefully I'll get some price quotes back early next week and I'll let you guys know how expensive it will be for the tubing.

gomer figure it out man , ive been hanging OTS with my max vac , and i do no want to stop hanging , ill kick you some money if you figure it out:)

I wouldn't feel like I was doing the right thing now that I know where to get the material. Contact any of the sites I listed above and I bet they can work something out with you. The only downside is that you have to buy at least 25 feet at a time but you will save around $150 that way. IOW, 25 feet (100 3" sheaths) from them is around $100-$110 and IF BTC even had 25 feet of the tubing, it would cost you around $250-$260 through him.

Honestly, knowing how fast we will go through sheaths, it makes sense to buy them in bulk. I believe they offer 25, 50, and 100 foot rolls which would be 100, 200, and 400 sheaths, respectively.

^ thanks man , IM not saying im rich by any means , but you cant put a price on hanging with the mac vac . i have no problem paying btc for sheaths, the problem is i cant get any off him , and i sure as hell am not going back to the bib

Gomer,

Thanks for looking into this. Could you post the actual link to the product itself? I looked under the advantapure site and could not locate the part #: APST-1000-1125 tubing. Or, any other info to make this easier would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I have been able to confirm that this is the right stuff. I placed an order for a 25' roll of it through http://www.newageindustries.com and the sales person told me that it is extremely flexible and that it will easily fold over itself like our sheaths do. I'll post pics once I get it to show you guys a comparison between it and the sheaths. The only difference should be the color.

This has been a royal pain in the ass but I'm glad I finally found what we need. BTC could have at least told us where to find it but instead he left us high and dry. That is a pretty shitty way to do business. Thanks for abandoning your customers, BTC. We really appreciate it.

Thanks! Since I was in need of the sheaths and got tired of waiting for my order to come in, I ordered through advantapure, 25 foot roll, ground shipment (7 days). Will post if this is the real stuff and how effective it is to the maxvac sheaths. They are 1/8" in dickness (My Cousin Vinny). LMAO

Are you joking or did you buy the 1/8" wall tubing? If so it may not "seal" as well as the 1/16" because it is not quite as flexible.

I never joke about dickness! LMAO

Seriously, the dude said 1/8", but the order sheet says the specifics you provided in the APST link. He could have made an error. If they are 1/8", I will be able to see if they work any better or worse than the 1/16". Who knows? I'll find out in about a week and post what I received and how it works.

Thanks for the investigating about the sheathes.

No problem. I hope they work out for you if they are the 1/8" thickness. I've got some 1/8" thick tubing at home (from autoextender.com) so I'll probably try it out today. If it seals just as well it might last longer because it is tougher.

The 1/8" thick sheaths that I got with my order from autoextender work just fine. I'll see how durable they are pretty quick. I'm starting 4 hour sets tomorrow.

Nice!

Are you hanging weights or using tension? When I've tried weights, there always seems to be slippage. After about 15 minutes, my head and skin are inflamed and I have to stop. I've been using silicone tubing for the tension.
