You guys have to remember that granted Creatine does lend good muscle size results... i'll never remain unless you use it on and off. I can't tell you the exact time period that you should do it but it's best if done in that way. Creatine gives you that urge to want to lift and in the same sense make your muscles to want to do more. When you workout on an off week... you are making your mind accept the weight that you are lifting and your muscles will react in the same way. You can think of it as leveling everything off in a way. And as far as penile shrinkage... as long as you are kegeling and keeping blood flowing to your "man-meat" you don't stand to have a problem in shrinkage.

So like use it for 1 month, and take two weeks off of using it, would that be a good start.

Cycling it is a myth. It comes from the belief that your body will stop producing it if you take it for an extended peroid of time.

Yeah i got this from bb.com

"Another point to talk about is the issue of cycling creatine. If creatine would be a supplement that loses its effectiveness as time goes by then I would recommend cycling.

For example, it was beneficial to cycle fat burning supplements containing caffeine and ephedrine as the body's receptors began to attenuate after 2 to 3 weeks of continual use. Once the body would get used to them, you needed to either increase the dosage or stop their use so that the body begins to respond once again. However, that is not the way that creatine works.

Basically, creatine gets stored into your muscles and you get the effects mentioned above, period. It is really straightforward. As far as the initial weight gain that you may experience when you start taking it, whether you cycle it or not, you will get the same amount of initial weight gain as that extra weight is determined by the amount of intracellular fluid retention that your muscle cells can store (something that remains a static figure).

The reason I say "the weight gain that you may experience" is because if once you start taking it you concurrently increase the volume of your workouts and remain at the same caloric intake level you may lose fat as you gain your added muscle volume and because of that the scale might not register any weight gain (this is what happened to my training partner)."

"Also, even if you are completely healthy ensure more than adequate hydration levels (bodyweight x 0.66 = total ounces of water to drink per day) and if you drink coffee, add an extra 16 ounces of water for every cup that you drink over the day."

Thanks dee, you saved me some work. :) Its also a myth that it uses glucose for a transport. Many people think it needs to be consumed with some sort of sugary drink. Look at the creatine levels with sugar (high & lo CHO), no sugar, and protein. No difference. :)

Sorry i meant acid, caffeine you need a high sugar beverage with it, it seemed like everything in my refrigerater had a lot of acid in them any suggestions on wat to drink with it.

I take about 4 teaspoons of sugar along with my creatine right after my workout. After I train my system is starved, the sugar I take is turned into glycogen, energy stored in muscles and also helps to spike my insulin levels. For better creatine delivery I take 500 to 600 mg of ALA, choline, chromium/vandium and a hit of potassium and it works for me.

Do you put the sugar in water when taking the creatine.

I mix it with grape juice, just out of habit. I do not pre-mix the creatine in though as it starts to break down in liquid (not that much...like 20% in 24 hrs) so I just scoop 5 grams in my mouth and wash 'er down with the pills and usually 10 grams of glutamine. This is right after workout, then later I go protein drink and oatmeal or something.
