Base size of the SG?

Guys, could anyone tell me the maximum base girth the SG will take? I'm considering one, but want to make sure it will fit before ordering.

there was a discussion here earlier where some dude claimed it was only 5" or so and called DLD a liar while others said it was way more than that. You can find that.
I'm wearing it right now, so I can't measure right now, but I'll help you out tonight.

Thanks SirKyle, that would be great. I did a search before I posted, couldn't find anything. I probably missed the right key words. Any help is appreciated!

with the dip in the base piece it actually measures closer to 6", a little less.
 
Okay, thanks you guys! No big enough. I'll consider hanging instead, looks like that will be the best option.

also if this means that it's too small for you, you might wanna look into the X4 which has a bigger girth base that should be compatible to the SG b/c they're both JES-based.
Don't blame me if it doesn't work though, I haven't tried this. Don't have these luxury problems :)

Thank you very much for the pictures SirKyle! Helps a bunch to see it. Yeah, I've got a flaccid base girth right now of 16cm so I don't think it will work out. I'll check into the X4 though, thanks. I'm thinking at this point that hanging will likely be my best option.

Ahh.. You may be referring to my comment 'dude'.

I commented that I wish SG would offer a larger base. DLD felt it was plenty large, I happen to disagree and find it uncomfortable. I measured with a tailors tape inside the ring and it came to 5.25 inches I believe. You can't count the dimple at the bottom as part of the full circumference. I didn't call DLD a liar.

SG should definitely offer some more options like Labs 4x does. I have no idea the quality of the lab 4x. I like my SG it's of high quality..just wish they would offer the larger base and the stronger tension springs as options.

Yes, I'd agree with you PoetMeister. For those of us that are larger, smaller doesn't work and there need to be more options. The problem I would guess is that there are relatively few of us that fall into this category, so the money is not there to "tool up" for us. Although not as extreme, its kind of like engineering a larger Bathmate, how many people have outgrown the X-40?

Yea I recognize the blessing and curse of it. But if the lab4x offers it you'd think they would keep up with competition. If you look at the SG site and you look at their secton for add-ons it's really pathetic. It's like 3 things and after you've used the SG for any real period of time you never use those things hehe... Look at additional features on lab4x and it's like pages of additional customizations. So from a buyer standpoint I would expect that to sway a lot of ppl especially when consideringe the purchase price. Though through DLD you get a really great deal on SG.

Anyway I bet if DLD and others here pushed them they'd give it some thought ;)
 
It is such a rare issue that someone would be too big for the extender base but if it is possible for them to do it I will ask.

@poetmeister: I think it was some guy called Zathora who started to insult DLD and what not b/c he felt his SG was too small after he ordered it or something.
