The Kegel Exercise: Muscle or Hustle ?

Many magazines and websites swear by the Kegel exercise. After all, it’s a simple task that is easy to learn and doesn’t take long to get through the reps each day. In fact, most men can master this exercise after just the third or fourth time. Because of these reasons, the Kegel exercise is widespread throughout the sex industry.

However, most of these magazines and websites contain a disclaimer (or at least they should) – usually in very small type – stating not to overuse the Kegel exercise. Unfortunately, many readers gloss over this warning, and the hype on the Kegel ends up being more damaging than helpful. The exercise can cause premature ejaculation for some men, as well as other sexual problems.

The Kegel exercise has been shown to have vast improvements on the penis. But in excess, the exercise can also be very harmful. The reason is contraction of the prostate muscle triggers the prostate's sympathetic nerve to induce an ejaculation. While men tend to contract the PC muscle to assist the erection if they feel their erection is not hard enough, a long-term practice of this exercise will make the muscle develop more testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and oxytocin receptors. These hormone receptors make men and women achieve an orgasm quicker and more easily, due to the presence of more hormones trapped in the sex organs. This is just fine and dandy for women who have difficulty achieving orgasm, as some do. The Kegel Exercise was originally intended for women with such problems. But for men, reaching an orgasm this quickly could be the end of their sex drive. Eventually, this problem will become the norm and that is when the diagnosis results in premature ejaculation.
Simply put, doing PC exercises will make you secrete pre-come quicker and stimulate your urethra, lubricating it for ejaculation and manipulating you into ejaculating prematurely.

Some men have been practicing Kegel safely for a longtime, but others recklessly practice Kegel before reading about the damage that could come in time. If you’ve been holding back your ejaculation using the Kegel method during sex and then you used the exercise right after, then you will in turn be doubling up on your Kegel exercise. This is how a simple technique like Kegel can go from a harmless aid to a detrimental condition in no time at all. And that brief exercise right after intercourse can bring you from a moderate level all the way to abuse.

Many men have damaged their equipment through Kegel and they have no idea how to overcome the sexual dysfunctions like premature ejaculation. This shit makes sense, when kegeled it takes me like 2 minutes to ejaculate.Reverse kegels make it last up to 30.So, i guess we should only limit Kegels to girth exercises,huh?
 
Interesting read. It may have some validity to it because I have noticed that I ejaculate quicker than I did when having sex.
 
If you want to delay ejaculation during sex do you try to hold the reverse kegel all the time? Or just as you are approaching orgasm? I really want to master this.
 
Supra and DLD can tell you way more about this, but from personal expirience i try to hold the reverse kegel as long as possible without releasing, otherwise it's pretty hard to control youreself, since you unwillingly start to contract your PC.
 
I think its true that you can overwork your PC muscle, but don't fall into the hype that this website tries to push. Be cautious but don't fall into the hype!
 
If i remember correctly DLD also says that kegels hinder length gains,thus DLD blasters and etc. are done using a reverse kegel.

The entire context of DLD explaining the PC in relationship to length gains was in his plyometrics routine. If the PC muscle is worn out, so to speak, it offers less resistence to stretching during lenght routines. DLD?????

True and this is where I became interested in the relationship between kegel reflex and length gains. DLD Blasters go a step further than exhausting the PC muscles by using the PC muscles to enhance the stretch. When we stretch engage in a kegel (which is a very normal subconscious reaction to stretching the penis) the ligs are not hit with the intensity they would be if the PC muscle was exhausted. Exhausting the PC muscle to enhance the effectiveness of a stretch is one way to accomplish this but a smarter way is doing a reverse kegel. A reverse kegel is a total unflex of the PC muscles making lig stretch possible whether the PC muscles are tiered or not. This will also help with the original topic of this thread which was over-training with kegels.

I incorporated these into my routine the first of May. Not only have my erections become MUCH harder, but flaccid stretch has increased 3/4". I can't wait for official measurements 6/1, which I will post in the correct forum.
 
That's great man, but the question stands whether or not we should do kegels in general.I mean erections are great, but what's the point of having them if you can't use them for too long. DLD i'm not an expert, but why not do DLD blasters using only reverse kegels?

I originally included the KEGELs to pre-exhaust the PC muscle but later I noticed they were not necessary. I continued to include them so I could get my PC work done while stretching.
 
So what is actually the message of this thread? Doing kegels is fine as long as you don't over do it? Doing kegels will make you ejaculate quicker no matter what?

The point is avoiding premature ejaculation is a learned thing. The foundation to avoiding it is a strong PC muscle. Read slicedbeef's thread relating to it. Take the herbal supplement, don't work the PC and see how it works for you. I'll keep utilizing my strong PC muscle to last as long as my wife wants me to to ensure her satisfaction.

This is the post from the formerly mentioned thread.I have to agree, that Kegels certainly have their benefits but just for experiment's sake,have sex with your wife(or masturbate for that matter), while holding a kegel.See how long your strong PC muscle will help you last.

P.S. Just do a normal amount of Penis Enlargement sqeezes, not like 2000 every 2 hours or something like that. If I dont want to come I just hold a reverse kegel the whole time im fucking to hold off cumming.
 
I have experimented with alot of different PC related techniques and exercises, and from what I have experienced, none of them are very effective. First I tried PC kegel squeezes at the the brink of an orgasm in order to hold in the semen and simulate "multiple orgasms". You do this by clamping down on your PC muscle right as you're having an orgasmto hold it in. The theory is that if you don't ejaculate than you can keep on having sexual intercourse. This technique works for the most part the first one or two times. But eventually once you start utilizing this for about a week it dies down and once you clamp down after orgasm it doesn't the exact opposite of what its supposed to do and activates the MRP (male refractory period) immediately afterwards and is longer and more intense than when you ejaculate regularly, and the witheld semen just goes into the bladder which is unhealthy. And if you continue kegel excercises in this fashion, you will develope premature ejaculation. At first it won't seem obvious: during sexual intercourse or masturbation you will feel a premature nervous tingling in the perineal area which before you know it springs ejaculation on you.

Take it from me, who has made all the mistakes in the book. Don't mess around with the PC muscle and overwork it. Be cautious and don't be rash. And if all else fails, use the reverse kegel in a jam. It will help you out in five or six seconds of need.

My question to DLD is, how do I reverse the damage? Will it go away if I lay off for a while, just like the way a regular muscle weakens in neglect?

Get back to me. But for the time I've got a few tricks up my sleeve that will help me. I'll save that for later.

it was said in here that kegels restrict length gains???? i don't know i would say almost the exact opposite. when i do kegels a lot i realize that my cock looks stronger AND longer. just by the fact that more blood is in there, it would be so rock hard that my cock almost hurts. but the kegels don't seem to hinder my length at all. if anything i think it helps maintain it the most.
