Exactly. We can fool ourselves with poor measurements, either we are bigger or smaller with a poor measurement. I know many fear the ruler and tape measure and if that be the case use something less intimidating but be sure it is solid and you measure from a solid point. I used to used various remote controls ranging in size
My penis does not fear the remote! I used string to measure girth because the tape scared me. So there is a definite correct way to measure and it is against the pubic bone, at the center to the tip of the head. As long as the device you are using is solid you are good. With girth it is the same, measure mid-shaft with the string lightly wrapped around the shaft, what is the measurement? DO NOT PULL IT TIGHT! the tape or string should nearly be touching the entire circumference of the shaft but with no pressure!
