Thread is looking good Brother! Especially like the advice in this:
Eating Grits - great way to eat a lot and stay full without consuming a lot of fat or calories - if eating grits sweetened use Sucralose artificial sweetener instead of sugar.
Eating Oatmeal - although not as low in fat or calories as grits it is also a good way to eat a lot and stay full while still losing weight - also use Sucralose if sweetened.
Eating fish - instead of meat great for weight loss - however one should consider fresh caught fish instead of farmed fish which may not be too healthy in the long run.
Eating meat - when eating meat make sure it is lean or the skin has been removed along with the fat underneath the skin and in between the meat itself.
Weight loss calorie calculator - Use a weight loss calorie calculator online to see how much calories you should eat a day to lose weight at your desired speed.
Observe Nutrition Facts - When purchasing food always look at Nutrition Facts 1st, monitor calories vs calories from fat - add calories each meal to not go over caloric goals.
Fruits - eat low calorie fruits between meals - half an apple, half an orange, half a banana, beware to much bananas can cause you to gain weight because of calories.
Vegetables - one can eat lots of spinach similar to grits if not better and lose weight - however, some vegetables have high calories use food calorie calculators online.
Stay Hydrated - sometimes when you think you're hungry its just your body telling you it is thirsty and you miss-interpreting it.
One thing I want to add is that, for me, when I am actively trying to drop weight I find that sugar is important as a catalyst in my evening routine. About an hour prior to bed I like to take in simple sugar to the point that it causes my glycemic index to heighten and I use this higher level to first bring on my nightly aerobic exercise, 20 minutes of brisk walking, and then what ensues is a drop in my index, below the normal, causing me to fall asleep so much easier. It is a simple trick to play on the metabolism to bring on an added ability to get good exercise in prior to sleep and then also to ensure good sleep. This may be different for some people so I suggest men try it and see if it is similar to you.
