Yeah. Fucking brain trying to normalize everything or get you to focus just on what is new. So with initial gains I did notice how after about a week your brain disregards the pretty momentous changes you've brought about on your body, and just goes, 'yeah that's your penis now... so?'

Not in my case, on both counts.
Every day, when I pee I find it odd how much more penis I have to handle just to take a leak. May sound like I'm boasting, but no. Look at it the other way. I'm really handling a normal amount amount of penis now, I lived for years with a much smaller amount.
What my partner noticed:
even though I informed her of my intentions to do what, 'these crazy guys on the internet', were claiming worked for their dicks - she didn't believe it. I don't think I did at the time, but I thought the evidence outweighed the doubts which plagued my sense of certainty.
I went at it scientifically though. I applied what I understood had to be done - read and did background reading on so many subjects - and let the results speak for themselves. I did something right as I reached an extra inch and 0.25" - 0.5" extra girth inside 6 weeks, (and then I stopped gaining for three months, but that's another story).
When you go from small to functional size it is like a world apart, similar impact as I imagine it would be when you go from average past big to the beginnings of huge.

It is as unfair as life is unfair.
That is precisely what I found.
All the time I was the wrong side of average: 'aw it's small'.
The second I passed average by the smallest amount: 'oh that's big baby, like for real not just saying it for kicks now'.
Now I stopped being small a while back there, but as Spamjavelin says I was getting the 'rounded down' penalty because I was not past the line that gets you the 'rounded up' bonus.
I know it's not really big yet. But women have begun to say it is.
But now, fuck it - and they want me to fuck it - either way I know I am arriving at the borders of huge if not by the end of this year then within the next. And that, together with a dominant, confident attitude, dependable finances and a healthy body means I have my passport to the women I want in my life. The ones that make a normal moment feel like something out of a movie.
It's not just effort and consistency. It is practice, technique, experience and doing the right things.
It does get lonely but I have high hopes that God will bring her to me when the time is right
