Well, it does depends on the female and the male counterpart. If the male expects the female to look pretty, make great foods, and ensure the family members are well taken care of, that's too much of an expectation. The male needs to give and take a few things off. Taking care of the family members is a 24/7 jobs, involving in cleaning, washing, maintenance, monitoring, and a whole lot more tasks in a 24 hours period. Forget the time to get fancy and pretty, or cooking great meals. If the lady works, that's another loss for male's expectations.

Same for the males. The females can't expect the males to bring home the money, expect them to look like movie stars, body like those who spend half a day at the gym, be loving and caring to look after the family like a butler, and have enough time to be a beast in bed.

Got to give and take for both sides. Plenty of demands for both sides.
