Recently I bought the ESL40 and had planned on using it for my first foray into PE, but I find every time I touch my penis to put the thing on, I start getting erect. In fact, any time I try to do ANY exercises I almost instantly become erect. Thus I can't put the ESL40 on or do any exercises with this fully engorged thing. I try not to get erect, but even when I think un-sexy thoughts(lol) it still happens every time!

So would clamping be a good start for me? I know the basis of it is getting hard, clamping off and pushing as much blood in as you can with kegals, in short sessions. I want length more than girth, but honestly I'll take either. My current stats are 6.5" BPEL and 4.9" EG.

What do you folks think?

You are nowhere near conditioned enough for clamping and under no circumstances should you do it right out of the gate, you will injure yourself.

Clamping is one of the few exercises we hear about people injuring themselves with.

Phallosan would work with an erection. Don't try to work against the erection, instead do erect stretches and stuff like that.

That's actually not exactly true. Any man can start right off with clamping and even hanging if he follows a program that starts him off with low intensity.

And jelqs. Balls to the wall clamping will always be risky no matter who you are, but with some guidance and common sense used, it can be as safe as anything else.

I've never heard clamping and low intensity in the same sentence, wouldn't that be a cock ring?

No, a cock ring is just a fluffer device that gives a little faux girth. Low intensity clamping would be having a clamp on and just keeping yourself stimulated, but also more engorged than with just a cock ring on. Check out how I spell it out in my how to guide for my own clamp device. My guide can actually be used with "Cable Clamps" as well. I show a guy how to do lower intensity, medium intensity and then very high intensity clamping. Look at the guide then the videos.

In this guide do you give advice on using a clamp as a passive healing device?

Technically any exercise is ok if you understand discipline and know to start slow and build up slowly

But most do not know this. Their enthusiasm and "I want it now" mentality results in over exertion and boom... injury time

So if a beginner starts with manual stretches for 12 months or more they atleast have half a chance of surviving advanced work due to there previous conditioning.

But yeah... dont clamp as a noob. Look up ballooning. .. its a similar principle. But please warm up adequately and dont be rush in and be stupid

Then again, they are also potentially over conditioning their penis during that conditioning phase places like other forum' and PEGYM advocate. Missing out on gains from better techniques. I see it pretty often in my own client base. Men who have been doing other PE for months and quickly advance to 15lbs+ and still see no gains. All this talk about a new guy being too ignorant, or prone to injury is misleading. I find that when you guide someone down the right path, even if they are new to PE...they usually learn how to do "advanced" techniques like hanging and clamping without injury.

Still, it may be a good idea to include a passive version of Clamping for those looking to heal in an expanded state. In SRT we use a cock ring but if a clamp can be used in the same way it would be good to have a simple guide.

That's what I use now instead of a cock ring for the adjustability

Even though I do not condone Clamping in the intense way I do think using a Clamp in a passive or healing sense is fine.

You should stay away from clamping. If you want girth, get yourself the mityvac pump. For length, buy the SiliStretcher and the length master.
