Nah, Red...I was just making a sort of "joke" or catchy phrase is all. After reading some of what you said and concatenating it with what some doctors have said, I have found, for myself anyway, what works for me.

I have done what feels like to me is like trying to force out a turd when approaching orgasm, and the "urge" disappears almost instantly. (I can even feel blood leaving my erection when I do this, softening my erection slightly) Doing this while edging, makes it much easier to keep stimulation almost constant with no fear of going past the "point of no return" :D

Thanks again for your help in getting my head wrapped around the reverse kegel. (I know that I am too analytical, but that is a good thing sometimes :D) What I am finding now is that combing kegels and reverse kegels is really neat, at least from an experimental point of view.

After getting pretty comfortable with how I reverse kegel, I have been playing with length of travel exercise. Meaning I reverse kegel, and feel my pelvic floor lower, and then kegel to make the pelvic floor rise. This length of travel exercise is really neat. I can feel significant total travel of the pelvic floor.

The important thing that I note with this length of travel, lets call it complete kegel or ck :D, exercise is that it seems to be able to move more blood into the penis with a "single" movement (although it really is two different contractions)! While this might not be shocking as there is more movement overall I have not come across this stated as such.

Also, doing cks seems to be more intense and fatiguing than doing either kegels or reverse kegels in isolation. Just thought that I'd throw that out there for everyone to mull over on their own. :D

If a kegel is like holding urine, can a reverse kegel be like pushing urine out say faster or harder than normal? Just trying to understand another feeling of how they work.

Ya, I think so.

I'm struggling to do a reverse kegel on the spot. So, I'm drinking a lot of water to urinate often. Each time, I'm trying to remember the motions, reflexes, state of mind when forcing out urine to practice whenever I want...harder than I thought. Thankfully, I can kegel pretty much anytime I want.

I think I've got another way to RK (from what I undertand what is a RK): When slightly aroused and still flaccid (moving on to semi-erect), I push blood several times and see my penis expand to semi-erect right before my eyes. Repeating this during the day at work, at the store, etc... is a whole different story given I'm really focusing on staying aroused and pushing the blood without touching my penis.

It took me a while to get the RK down myself...asking a lot of questions and doing a lot of medical reading because I was confused by the "kegel" part of "reverse kegel". Unlike the Kegel, the reverse kegel does not use any pelvic floor muscles, so it is not like you can cause your pelvic floor muscles to elongate because muscles only contract. It is only a contraction of other muscles which place downward pressure on the pelvic floor which will elongate the muscles used within the pelvic floor. The doctors that I have seen talking about this state that it is primarily done by a low intensity contraction of the lower abdominal muscles which essentially squeeze your abdomen like a tube of toothpaste causing the organs and intestines to push downwards into the pelvic area, thus elongating the PC,BC, and IC muscles that we contract when doing normal kegels.

Anyway, for me, Red's casual statement about "taking a dump" helped a lot. It is very much like a gentle "push" that you would use to force out a turd. LOL In my opinion, it is much easier to feel the correct reverse kegel after you have developed a decent amount of strength with your regular kegels. You will start to feel a distinct up and down travel of your pelvic floor when doing kegels after your pelvic floor muscles get stronger. When doing a strong squeeze kegel, you should feel a significant upward movement between your anus and scrotum. If you do, then it really is not that big of a deal to follow this squeeze with a slight "push" that you would use to take a crap. When you do this you will feel the pelvic floor drop like an elevator with a broken cable. :D

By the way, to stop or prevent ejaculation, only a very slight reverse kegel is needed. Just enough that a little blood leaves the penis temporarily until the urge passes. No need to actually force out a big turd to do so. LOL

Which by the way is a great way to know if you are doing a reverse kegel correctly. You should be able to stop yourself from passing the point of no return when edging or whatever. Another way to see if you are doing them correctly is to get a decent erection, when you do a reverse kegel, your erection will immediately get a little softer as a little bit of blood leaves the penis. (Don't worry, you can instantly get the blood back by doing a regular kegel :D)

Ya, I do feel the upward movement. But, after releasing the kegel, I do feel the drop. But technically, this is just releasing the kegel and not a RK in itself. Right?

Do you do a RK while clenching (during the kegel)?

In fact, if you do a reverse kegel you will feel the kegel release. No matter how hard you squeeze a kegel, a reverse kegel will force you to release that squeeze immediately. Try an intense kegel and then try to "fart" and you will see what I mean. That "fart" attempt is a reverse kegel. :D

Hmmm...ok thanks, I also read somewhere that an RK also involves some muscles at the tip of the penis, in addition to the "fart". Supposedly, you feel them when you're forcing urine out. I think I've felt it before, but difficult to replicate when not urinating...

The tip of the penis is not really involved in the reverse kegel, an actual flex is not happening, it is a total unflex of the pelvic floor muscles. It is the same movement you will feel when forcing the flow of urine but you do not need to be urinating. With practice it becomes second nature.

According to doctors, there are muscle contractions that take place in a "reverse kegel", but none of which are located in the pelvic floor area. Completely relaxing, lowering, elongation, or whatever of the pelvic floor muscles is accomplished by a slight contraction of the lower abdominal muscles. This constriction causes a "downward" force into the pelvic region by squeezing slightly the lower intestines forcing them to occupy a lower position. This lowering of the intestines places a downward force into the pelvic floor area, thus elongating slightly, or "completely relaxing" the BC, IC, and PC muscles. (Primarily elongating and lowering the PC)

I have noticed that, with most things, complimenting systems work best together. That is, when I am working out more often and my abdominal muscles are stronger and possess greater stamina, I can do RKs much easier, for longer periods of time and with greater intensity.
 
What a I find helps me to locate the reverse kegel "muscle" is by squeezing it while doing a pelvic thrust. Maybe someone will benefit from the pelvic thrusting. Plus it mimics girl on top so great way to build up strong upward thrusts.
