I found this in the October 2007 edition of Men's Health

Men's Health said:
A Drink for Stiffs

Pomegranate juice may be an effective erection elixir. When doctors at UCLA asked patients with mild erectile dysfunction to drink 8 ounces of pomegranate juice every day for a month, almost half of the men reported having harder and longer-lasting erections. Pomegranate juice's potent antioxidant content higher than that of any other fruit beverage-increases wood-inducing bloodflow to the penis by eliminating plaque buildup in the arteries, say the study authors. So go ahead and add 100 percent pure pomegranate juice to your beverage lineup...

It continues later in the magazine to talk about how it helps with prostate cancer and they recommend 16 ounces a day.

Well in the states most food markets (Food City, Krogers, etc.) carry the juice. There are websites to get it from as well. I guess it depends on where you live. It's in no way illegal so it's more of finding a source than anything.

My suggestion would be to look in your local fruit markets or stores. Here's some info on the beverage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomegranate_juice

wouldn't just taking a good anti-oxidant supplement have the same effect as the juice?

Yes, but then you wouldn't be promoting pomegranate juice.

Doctors at UCLA asked patients and almost half of the men reported having harder and longer-lasting erections.
They verbally said they were harder and lasted longer. For what, an extra 30 seconds? IMO, it's BS data.

I always have a problem with these surveys, because it's always about a CURE and not a PREVENTATIVE. A good healthy life-style will prevent numerous amounts of physical disorders.

I do agree JUICING is the best way to absorb the nutrients from any plant, vegetable or fruit. Just ask 93 year old Jack LaLanne, he's probably still giving his wife Elaine some hardwood.

A couple of years ago I'd never seen pomegranate juice anywhere but it's had a surge in popularity and now you can find it in pretty much any supermarket here in the UK

*shrug* If all they wanted to do was promote the juice don't you think they'd do a bit more advertising than in a small opinions column of an unbias Men's Health magazine? I mean sure Men's Health advertises but that's why they have ads this was an article about new healthy fruits/vegetables and things to add to your healthy diet.

I'd -rather- have a juice than pop a supplement.

The article has merit...

Men's Health want their product (Magazine) to be purchased and hence the article got someone interested enough to make the buy. Along with the interest to purchase the pomegranate juice for their health. The infamous they did the same with Cranberry and many other fruit items to better your health and cures.

The point I was making was it is always to fix or cure an issue/problem never what to do to prevent the issues.
