Of course that is normal, you are not stretching the ligaments when the grip is low, the ligaments become slack and none of the stretch will go to them. Expressive Stretching does one thing, it brings internal penis outward.

you're right but when i do erect stretching i kind of feel it but mid shaft or inner penis stretching i just feel my tunica bundle up above the section i grip but no stretch feel

Its not the best, but from my own experience I dont think its the worst either when I started I was guilty of doing it, but it didnt cause any injury.
It caused pain at first because of the pressure i guess on the long term and depending on the pressure it can cause injuries.

But the real problem I noticed it was that my glans at the end of the stretches were super small, doing this cause blood to flow out of your glans, so in the long term its not ideal.

Just do what all the brothers Recommended and explained, but I'll give you a lil trick I use, get your glans wet some water on it and grab it wit toilet paper! Best Grip EVER!

When I do manual stretches I try to grab with all four fingers on the shaft and the pinky securely tucked behind the head so that my hand doesn't slip, that way a great expressive stretch and lig stretch at the same time!
 
Read somewhere that it's bad(?) doing stretches where you pull on the head of your D, and that one should try to pull from the shaft. Or something like that.. The info kinda flew past the screen and I can't remember where I read it.

Something to consider, or just bullocks?
