After this I started to wear my PF again (exactly as I was before with same tension etc.), after 2 hours the top area of my glans and around the urethra has turned darkish purple. Has anyone encountered this?

Sounds like it was caused by the vacuum pressure. Make sure the glans cap is completely tight on your glans with no space at the tip. If there is space at the tip, the vacuum pressure will be enhanced at that area causing fluid buildup and possibly your discoloration. Maybe take some time off as well. I personally was using the phallosan 17-20 hours a day awhile ago but stopped because I was getting fluid retention (even though the glans cap was on tight). You would think that a little fluid retention would be no big deal but continual fluid retention in my case, caused my skin to get darker and the skin on my glans to start to come off (and I also started getting little cuts in my glans). So I dropped down my phallosan use to about 8-10 hours a day (mainly while sleeping) and I use an all day clamp (similar to all day cock ring) for when I am awake. Hope that helps.
