Now, the title itselfs asks the question.
But to be specific!

- What is it that makes the penis grow during puberty?

I know its genes and bla bla.

But which hormones and stuff gets it to grow? which other factors are in play?
Some of you gurus should know this :)
 
During puberty there are receptors which are active and sensitive to certain hormormes such as testosterone. After puberty they are switched off. I've read about doctors using chemicals to re-start puberty-like conditions in order to cure micropenis. But you can't rub testosterone cream into your penis or increase testosterone levels and have any affect because the receptors are dormant by adulthood (otherwise your dick wouldn't stop growing).

If your thinking of somehow trying to switch the puberty light on again and get some kind of burst in penis growth, than think again. Puberty is a unique period in a human's development and no amount of synthetic drugs will mimic it. That being said here's a list of the various ones;

* Testosterone
* HGH (Human growth hormone)
* Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) also known as Luteinizing-hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH)
* Kisspeptin
* Neurokinin B
* Leptin
* Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
* Estradiol
* Dehydroepiandrosterone (5-DHEA)
* Androstenedione
* Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1)

Don't forget teenage lust and frequent masterbation. Wikipedia doesn't have anything on these though but that's a something that helped this boy grow up big and strong. Maybe this was a by product of the hormones...

I personally know of a doctor who prolonged puberty for his daughter because of her height (or lack of it). So there are some things that can be done but it's not simple, cheap or danger-free. Among other things, blood levels need constant monitoring and doses need constant adjustment.
 
Mimicking some of the actions of puberty could benefit you, as qwerty2 suggested. Masturbation habits, intensity used, level of libido can all aid in size gains.
 
I fail to see what masturbation, level of intensity or libido have to do with puberty because they are in most mens lives anyway. Sure puberty you wank more and are more horny but I'm really sexed up now. I think what you mean is that edging or ballooning as some like to call it, is said (No scientific proof) to increase various hormones in the male body and more so localised to the penile area, which could translate into better gains. Intensity is a separate variable on its own and libido, well my sex drive is great when I want it to be and better still its CONTROLLED now and not like when I was a kid.

Something else, none of us are proper medical exerts and I don't pretend to be one unlike some and if puberty is mocked and synthetic's brought into the body you may get size increase, that's a possibility but the sides that come with it will outweigh the risks. I don't know the list of sides but common sense will tell you that playing with a chemist set and knowing fuck all about what your doing, will one-day blow up in your face .. especially if your using potent chemicals and in this case its potent hormones.
 
I'm a bit pissed off.
I wanked an average of 1.2 times a day since I was 13!
I only have a 4.7 inch girth MSEG and I'm 18 now.
