Zip/Cable Ties

Spent some time searching old threads, but didn't see much on the topic of cable ties. I recently got some of the thin plastic adjustable ties. I'm looking for some feedback on two uses for them:

1. Girth gaining. Of all the girth exercises I've tried, nothing has given me expansion like putting on the cable tie at the base and keeping an erection while wearing. While wearing I am 1/4" above my normal girth. Nothing near what I get with manual squeezing. The veins are literally about to burst through the skin and it freaked me out a bit at first. Definitely need to use caution, but I've found what I can handle. I've been doing 10-15 mins at a time. If I start to get too "purple" I take it off....or let the erection fade a bit and get it back up, refreshing the blood. Anyone else using cable ties on a regular basis? Any negatives I should be worried about using this method?

2. The Bathmate. I had the common problem of my nuts getting sucked up into the Bathmate. I really wanted to use the thing, but did not want to lose the possibility of having children over it. I can't imagine the testicle pressure/suction with the Bathmate is a good thing. However, using a cable tie (but nowhere near as tight as the girth exercise) helps to keep the balls out of the way, and seems to keep more blood in my penis during the session. Only downside to all the above seems to be the sensitive track marks left around the base of the penis after sessions.

Any comments, thoughts, or other suggestions with the cable ties?

One more question that I had.....

I do the cable tie girth exercise after my stretch/jelq session....feels like a nice way to go out by maxing my girth. But I am wondering about that age old argument of getting and keeping a full erection after jelqing. Something to the effect of the blood quickly repairing the micro-tears you are making during jelqing.....thus rendering the jelq session useless. Do any of you avoid getting and keeping a full erection at the end of your sessions?

Are these releasable?
My only concern would be cutting them off, not to thrilled about scissors or knives around my dick.

Actually they can be a bit tough to get off. You can release the "normal" zip ties you find in the store with a little trick. But it's better to buy the releasable ones.....I have some on the way to me from Ebay. Read more on them here:

Cable ties have been mentioned in some of the other clamping threads. Not really considered to be a great idea due to safety issues. You can get yourself into trouble if it gets too tight. While you may be able to do this with releasable ones, getting the regular ones off can mean having to cut them with a knife or scissors. If they get really tight, you could end up cutting yourself. Also, the constriction is on a much smaller area, due to the minimal width of a tie, which can be more likely to cause circulation cutoff. Regular plastic cable clamps are safer and probably cheaper than having to replace the ties that you cut off. They're also pretty widely available at places like Home Depot.

Just wondering... clamps are at home depo? Like a hose clamp?

At home depot they are called Cable Clamps and they are in the plumbing/electrical section.
