Well guys I'm trying the old X-40 valve on my x40 this morning..fingers crossed. The valve fit right in there. The release hole on the 40 keeps letting in air...getting big bubbles. I've tried everything. So I'm happy with the gains the herc gave me, solid 1/4 girth, 0 length. The x40 valve is a rectangle release, the X-40 is square. So I'm thinking that locking crap is the reason for the air intrusion. Well gonna blow up Mr. Peterson n report back. Today. ;)

Well it worked awesome! No leaks! Damn fixed it! Half way through session stated leaking at the two piece insert n gator area! Ugh I can't win! So construction adhesive will cure that shit! Can't tell me I ain't gonna grow! Lol

I just went to an X series from the older model. You are correct, that new valve is absurd, and I have swapped mine also. How did they even go to production with that design, because it's flat out impossible to use.

Might be they want you to use the hand pump instead of manually?

No option for that. Mine's an X40. Which begs the question, does anyone know if they offer the pump piece separately?

Well i couldnt stand it anymore...got my x40 xtreme 3 days ago...holy shit! Crazzy!...where has this thing been all along! I got the same plumped up dick in 15mn it took 30 in my x40! The whole while waiting for it to start leaking..

And yes i stepped down..the x40 was too damn big period..guess i was just not big enough .....YET!!!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!! and when i do pack this x40 ill switch the valve and have a x40 hybrid!...LMAO...but the extreme is waaay better ..the pressure is god damn insane! Ive NEVER BOTTOMED (fully compressed the gaiter) A Bathmate OUT TILL NOW!

Hey so is the x40 a little bit bigger then the herc? I have the herc but switched to the x 40 case of bad gator bite and blisters. I have had no issues with the valve but the thing is pretty big. Figured out how to get a good pump with it but think the x 30 may be a better fit.

I went from a X-40 to an x40 and I can't recommend it. Frankly, the X-40 is a better product. The older valve is miles better, and the increased strength of the X gator is more annoying than appreciated. In other words, it just makes you press against your pelvis even harder which is painful. Yes, the x40 gator is a slight bit wider.

So far I've heard nothing but good regarding the xtreme series. I should have gotten that.

Okay cool thanks for the info! I think I just experienced what you guys were talking about with the valve taking a gulp of air. Another question. Does this normally occur in the shower with the x series horizontal? I had to restart maybe 3 times but when I got out and laid in bed I got a strong suction with no gulping. I got this a couple months ago and have been trying to get it to work better for me. I think I pretty much figured it out.
You guys try the wine vac with the x series yet?

I'm starting to get used to the X40 now. It sure has its quirks. One thing I found was that I had the comfort base on upside down and that causes leakage. I'm going to get a wine saver at the store later to try it out and help with the other issues I have.

Hey guys I have been reading your thread because I have some worries and questions about a new pump.
You guys were stating the new X pumps have a strangely made valve.
Should I skip the new X40 and just buy a Xtreme x40 instead.
My Herc is too small and I have nasty gaiter bite. Plus I have reached a size where even the vac mod is painful for me because of the bite.
Thanks

Hey so basically I figured out the problem with it letting in air. I really could not figure out how you take the whole assembly out to swap valves and my x40 was just about unusable. I took the top part of the valve apart and this is really where all the air is getting sucked in. It dawned on me that the more hard use I gave it the worse it got so inspecting the silicon washer I figured that is was getting smashed a bit. I took the neoprene washer from the Herc and stacked it on top. Really you could make a washer for it if you had to but this is what I did for a quick fix. Works great and the best pumps I've had on it yet. Length wise I'm pumping the same as the herc if not a hair over. It's the girth that's going crazy now!
Great pump! Now that I'm very familiar with what works for me and the valve now locks in super tight!

Hey sorry did not get notice anyone posted. If I could I would get the extreme. There is plenty of room to grow into the x 40 without it being too big. Although it is huge compared to the Herc.
