this past weekend i suffered an injury from being negligent and misusing the bathmate, which has caused me a great deal of worry/stress. i over-used the bathmate and added too much pressure while trying to use it dry. when i took it off maybe around 2.5 minutes later, my penis deflated, i lost feeling for a couple hours, and the next day i started to notice veins on my flacid penis running from the base to perhaps midshaft. i feel it was getting better since i left it alone, but yesterday i had an erection and it completely worried me. theres a bit of pain and discomfort on the left side of my penis where the veins are, its not an excruciating pain but it worries me because it affects most of left side, the small pains travels to left testicle just a little bit and also from my buttocks down the back of my leg. yesterday after my erection, and when i stopped it. my penis was still throbbing, the veins became a bit more noticeable on my flaccid penis and also the left side is a bit more swelled up than the right side. when i lifted my penis straight to take a better look at it, i could notice it was swelled up a bit on the bottom of the left side as well. as of yet, ive not noticed any color on the veins. ive been looking at my symptoms and it sounds like Penile Vein Thrombosis. This whole situation worries me deeply, and i cant stop thinking about it, im trying to relax but i just cant, i cant even think about anything else, and i cant sleep. Im going to try drinking the ibuprophen a day that's recommend and i just bought a warming pad from the pharmacy.

I can't go to the doctor right now, but if there's no improvement i might have to go sometime next week. hopefully there's someone out there who's been through the same thing and can help me through this, b/c im losing my mind and my penis haha.

This post is spot on, I had this condition for 6 months. Its a VERY painful and stubborn condition. The feeling is that of a sever ankle sprain but instead of it being your ankle its your penis. The pain in my case would actually shoot from my penis down my leg and down to my toes at times. The vein itself swells and appears to adhere to your skin. And just as with a sprain any agitation worsens the condition. Mine was caused by excessive prolonged masturbation and not p.e. But I came across this forum because it has lots of good information. I can tell you don't get discouraged, over the weekend I felt a vibrating sensation in my penis. I thought it was a bad sign, so started massaging the vein and I felt the clot break away and I pushed it out. Some of the swelling is still there but all the pain is gone. This was by far the worse injury I had ever had, even worse than when I broke my arm.

Hi there,

I have the same problem, penis hurts sometimes, the dorsal vein stays bigg even when flaccid. I just turn 19 and I've had this problem for about 6 months. Any suggestions. My only problem is I never gave my penis a break always masturbating.. and no gf in the past 4 months .. so only had sex twice. Any suggestions?
Also sometimes my penis is an inch smaller than max when hard.. and last thing is, if i don't masturbate i'll get random errections. Any help is appreciated.

Hey, anyone got any updates on this? I believe i have the same thing, its really painful! when my penis is hard like if i push slightly down on it or pull it.
Its been like it for about 2 weeks now, so i got some Ibuprofen to take to see if it helps sort it out. The doc said there's nothing you can do about it, there is no cure. she said it will remain like it forever.
so i was a bit pissed off with that response, but i do believe her to be wrong.
any suggestions, or success stories?
<:(

Will my penis ever go back to normal? i feel like i might have lost it forever.

I don't know man. My heart goes out to you. I've had both the "cord" issue in the base and shaft and also some medium thrombosis around the veins by the glands. I've never had pain, loss of function or anything too bad.

I don't know what to tell you besides what you've already read and found out. Uses ibuprofen and heat regularly and if the pain isn't too bad do some deep massage with some lotion to break shit up and get it moving.

As an aside, I did take some breaks from pe while this happend and during these times I was obsessed about every little thing about my penis. I looked at it multiple times a day and with a magnifying glass to see if there was any improvement. This was the worst thing for me. You kinda gotta just try to heal and stop looking at your dick every five min. Accept that you had an injury and move on as best you can. Whatever that means to you. Read books, go to movies etc. I would get your ass to a doctor ASAP thought. They might tell you there's nothing they can do and it's just gotta heal on it's own, but you need to rule out dangerous things asAp. Don't freak out though. You didn't pull your penis off and you didn't break it In half like Rodman. It will be fine. You can do some crazy shit to your penis and come back from what you now perceive as the worst thing that's ever happend to you. Chill out, have a beer and get your mind right. Alright?

I've suffered from this twice and I'm still getting over the 2nd incident actually. The first time it happened, I had a lump in the vein (I'm guessing it was a clot) and it took a couple of weeks for it to go away on it's own. This time, it's actually a little worse. I can feel and see three separate clots in the same vein. I'm about a week into it and the pain went away but, the clots are still there. I'm still able to maintain erections as well. I never took any medication and just let it heal on its own.

Everyone's situation may be different but, try to give it some time to go away on its own. Lay off PE, sex, masturbation, etc. Try eating fruits and drinking lots of water. I've been reading about natural blood thinners for better blood health/circulation. Things like drinking lots of water, taking fish oils, eating fruit (things like pineapples, etc.).

Don't fear though. You haven't lost your penis. You know your situation better than anyone else but, I'd say to give it some time to go away. If there are no signs of it going away or even becoming worse, definitely go to a doctor.

what does the pain feel like? Does it feel soft and puffy or does it feel like a hard string? this will be the first thing I need to know to diagnose this for you. But I can see you have nothing to worry about the worst situation here would be maybe a couple weeks off until things clear up. thrombosis is very common in PE and when it does happen we do have remedies to correct it. I have seen many many different injuries during my 13 years running MOS and I have never had a case where I could not help them correct the problem. For now do some deep tissue massage using heat whenever possible. I would also like you to take an baby aspirin once a day. please get back to me on the first question I asked. Don't worry we will fix you and things will be better.

Thanks to everyone who responded, i appreciate your help and support.

It's been about 3 weeks since I had my injury. It definitely feels better than the first week of going through this. Since my injury i have abstained from any sexual activity (sex, masturbation, , everything), and have tried my best to avoid erections. Only erections i can't avoid are sleep-induced erections. I also have gone to 2 different doctors and the diagnose has been consitent.

I first went to a regular doctor a week after my injury. I told him my situation, which was very difficult b/c of the level of embarrassment i had to explain it. He took a look at my penis, didn't explain too much but said that i just BRUISED my penis and told me that in one week i should be fine. To avoid any sexual activities and erections. I told him i had been taking ibuprophen and it has helped alleviate the pain and he prescribed me 100 tablets of 600mg of Ibuprophen which i have been taking consistently since i saw him.

A week and a half after i saw my regular doctor, I went to see a urologist a couple of days ago. This visits was also very quick. He took a urine sample, and did some kind of ultrasound, took a look at it. I explained my situation and went into more detail about what kind of pains i was feeling and that it traveled sometimes to my left testicle, buttock, and down my left leg (he explained that it was just inflammation from the bruise). I explained my concerns with the new veins i have been noticing on the left side of my penis from the base to my shaft (which he explained as a main artery), and one that was more below on the bottom-side of the left side of my penis. He told me that I just bruised my penis. Not on the outside, but deep inside of my penis and that it should get better in a couple of weeks (i'm estimating 3 weeks). That's all he really told me, and that this will not be something i have to go under the knife for. I was kind of relieved and the visit was over. But i did not get to ask him if i had some kind of thrombosis or anything like that, and didn't ask many questions. Which now i kind of have some. In particular if i had a thrombosed vein, how could he tell that i just bruised it on the inside, how severe is the injury, and what steps should i take if it does not improve in the next three weeks.

As of right now, there's definitely still some pain/discomfort on the left side of my penis, which still travels towards my left testicle, buttock, and and leg. Even though the doctor said it will heal up in the next 3 weeks part of me is still worried that my penis will never be the same again, and if i will ever be able to reach 100% erection. I'm blessed to have gotten 2 consistent diagnoses. I just pray that these doctors are right and my penis goes back to normal. No pain, No worries. because this has affected my life tremendously. I understand that i can only leave this up to time. But i will never feel normal until my penis goes back to normal. I can't even vaporize my medicinal cannibals w/o feeling paranoid that it's affecting my penis. I just can't be me. But i'm going to try and be positive about this situation, I'm trying to work on not stressing it, and hopefully this problem will be gone in the next few months and i can get back to being me.

I'm going to see the progress for the next 3 weeks and let you guys know what's going on. I also have a new doctors appointment next month so hopefully it's gone or better by then and i can get some more help from my doctor. This is a very un-common injury and it's very difficult to deal with because there's not very much information on it but i appriciate you guys for helping me out and showing support. It means alot to me. Thanks @doublelongdaddy, @BornInFigi , @pedud

So good to hear you went to the doctor and urologist. I greatly appreciate your relating this to us. If the Doc said it will clear up in 3 weeks, put your faith it that and believe it to be so. I hope to see you back 100% in the PE circle and I hope you keep in touch with us till then. Thanks again for the incredible post!

Yeah it is the combination that we need feedback on.

Well. Take mine. Ha! Heat good. Cold whatever. Together inconclusive.
