Do they actually work? Yes. Put in the hours with it and it'll cause tension-based length remodeling. For me, this sort of tractive Penis Enlargement device has always had a concomitant increase in girth as well, which is nice, - even during long periods where no other Penis Enlargement method was being performed (jelquing, clamping, etc.)
Most old-school
extenders seem to come with enough additive rods to go up to 11 inches. I think some of that gets lost in the design of the noose/strap-carriage, but they'll reach over 9 inch or more no problem.
The trouble with that is that they're a copy of a medical device (intended to be worn as much as 12 hours a day under occasional medical oversight) and as an overly-cautious medical design their level of persistent tension often tops out at a quoted 1150 grams (iirc) or 2.5 pounds.
If you've never done much Penis Enlargement before, this 2.5lbs can seem like a lot (for a while) and may make you quite sore. After you get used to it though, which is pretty quickly, it may still work on an hour-over-hour basis (used for hundreds and hundreds of hours) but it doesn't -feel- like it's doing much anymore and different better device with a higher level of tractive force will provide gains at a faster rate.
(Also some people report loss of feeling to some nerves in their 'head' due to the noose design. I've never experienced that but it'd have to suck.)
I've really liked the autoextender, made by a member (no pun) of this forum. You can keep adding tractive tension with the
ADS by screwing more and more of the carrier screws up the threaded rods. The force level from it is limited, really, only by how hard the clamp is attached. I probably use this (guessing) at the 25-30 pound level -- for 3 sessions of 30 minutes each, taking a break in between to let everything re-sanguinate.
There's a new version from the autoextender maker based on a vacuum carriage rather than a clamping design that sounds really great. Haven't got a chance to try it out yet personally. I'm sure someone will post on it.
I don't think it'll go as high in poundage but if it's more comfortable long-term then other options open up than just sheer poundage.

ps --- $300 is way too much, and it's likely for a cr@p unit.
On the other hand, $10 in bin parts from the Home Depot is probably too low. This -is- your dick .... you'll probably want something with experience behind the design to keep it from getting hurt or turning green and falling off.
