OK going to keep bumping this until I get a review on one of these. I must say I am surprised by the lack of interest around these 2 products coz they look like the dogs bollocks to me.
Reviews and usage videos are coming around. It's a fairly new product, but I easily get multiple hours in per day. Typically, I wake up and put it on and remove for bed. Sometimes leave the headpiece on over night. After going straight for a few weeks, I couldn't even hang 3 pounds yesterday due to fatigue. Here is the non-vacuum technique by stillwantmore: http://www.mynewsize.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4607

Ok got my Heavy duty static stretcher but I am having real problems trying to get the rubber bung to stay in I can't seem to get a seal (the airtight one not the aquatic mammal) with it. Just been watching SWM's Max vac extender video I think it looks better than the static stretcher but then the grass is always greener. Shit I think I got the wrong one.

Ok so I had to sand down the ridge left on the hole on top of the dome by the drill bit. Not too impressed that I had to do that you would expect it to be finished better than that. I have also used a bit of washing up liquid with the bung to get a better seal. It seems quite comfortable to wear, hope to get lots of hours in and keep you all posted.
So back to the theme of this thread; my initial impression is that the max vac is the better option.

I am thinking of getting one myself. I'll put in my 2 cents if I do.

Most likely so. Like I've said elsewhere BTC has the resources to turn out a better quality product. He's not on a shoestring budget or in this for a quick buck. Also, even though his extender does not need a hand pump to make it work properly, there is that option as well....and more options is usually better. The female coupler on the glans piece of the MV extender is permanently attached, so the only seal you have to worry about really, is with the sleeve.

Yeah I read your post on mynewsize after I ordered. I have the extender working alright now, the little bung in the end just seems a bit mickey mouse to me. However the base pieces are exactly the same and I still think the heavy duty static stretcher is a good product.

The static stretcher guys are on a shoestring budget and out for a quick buck? I don't think so because they're service has been great and their response has been great too. They sent me replacement parts without asking for any extra cash and they sent them pronto. I left some parts at school and askde them to buy spares and they just sent me some.

To be fair although I have said the Max vac looks a slightly better product the service is excellent. My order must have been posted the same day and there are some good instructional videos on the staticstretcher website. I think you may be being a little harsh here SWM.

not trying to be harsh just my thoughts based on my use of the mv extended so far. Man this iPhone is great!

Ok i googled and found the site. It looks like some guy put it together in his basment. I'd consider it more if it was made more profeshonaly. Or maybe someone could tell me how to make one myself? It's interesting.

If the quality can really be compared to what somebody would make without some of the more expensive crafting tools those prices really suck IMHO. I bought a vac-extender and it works great but I was less than impressed with its visual quality. For that money I really expect more I guess even if it goes together after a little material removal on my behalf =P

If I knew it was legal to basically design "my own" parts and go into production I would do it in a heart beat. That said something simliar could be produced for a few bucks a piece (just part costs not manufacturing costs)... Thing is finding out about the legality can be expensive especially if not done before hand =P

Seems to be *alot* of manufacturers for vac pe products so something must be going on :O

I have been toying with the idea of how to make one myself using a low-melt plastic (I don't recall the name right now). Basically I would supply online instructions so anyone wanting to can buy the stuff and make their own the same way I did or alternatively buy a "kit" with everything needed.

The "short list" of parts as I am considering it now would be...

Threaded-ROD - adjustable tension
Low-Melt-Plastic - (for everything except the threaded rods...)

The base is a no-brainer its a solid circle of plastic that can be made from some plastic that was rolled into a cylinder then placed in a circle to harden...

The rod holders supporting the threaded rods in the base would be rigid without some ingenious design for making tilting rod holders that can be formed with hand molded plastic. Adjustability would be super...

The tensioners would be plastic formed around the threaded rod... voila done you now have tensioners. These actually turned out great... I dipped one end of the threaded rod into oil to prevent the plastic from binding to it. The plastic shrunk slightly when cooled providing a very smooth friction fit!

The head piece be it for a noose, strap or vac extender would be no more trivial than the other pieces they just need to be made to suit... the vac-extender sleeves might take some doing...

Thats the short version of how it would be made the "long" version would not be more complex but would include pictures showing ways to make everything look and work good. Will need some skills to make everything work right...

I would rather produce parts and put my CNC TAIG mini mill and $1000 cad/cam to work making mold =P But like I said in previous post I can't really do that without paying lawyers to do some research for me (I think anyway). Reason? Well the #1 reason is cost... the DIY approach using low-melt plastic is CHEAP CHEAP compared to what is available but some parts like the sleeves for a vac-extender can be difficult to produce. That said the production parts using my skills, ambition and CNC equipment would be near the same cost and of higher quality than what is possible by someone molding plastics by hand.

I only try to make something when the cost of it far exceeds the cost of my time and materials. After trying to build many things I know that there will be costs associated with trial/error and just general inefficiencies in making a "one-off". Not to mention the potential of many hours, and with that in mind: if you make $25 per hour it would take only a few hours spent on this to waste that amount. That's how I decide to build or buy.

thats one way to think about it but more often then not those $25 an hour jobs dont occupy all our time =P... $100 not spent is $100 made but was not really making that post as a replacement more of an alternative to everyone else not making as much... chances are someone making $25+ an hour has better things to do with their time anyway and wouldn't think twice about buying one.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some of that silicone rubber tubing they use for vac hangers? I've been searching all over the net an can't find it.

BTW, the dome of the heavy duty (static stretcher) fits the penimaster perfectly. Was looking at my old PM and just occured to me to put them together. It's like it was designed to do it.

Ok, so there is all this talk about this static stretcher, um, has anyone seen results yet? Let's post something, I want to know if it is better than this noose I got on my main man. Anyone??

I wonder how much actual tension can be applied as well. Oh, and how much vacuum seeing as how there's no attachment for a hand pump. I doubt its much in either department. Plus, I've heard comments along the lines of "looks like it was made in someones' garage..."

i am using it right now.i can work the angle(in order to work tunica or ligaments)i am doing both.45 miutes down,45 minutes up + ads beetween.I hope that will speed up my growth. Also,i have to say that it takes only about 3 minutes by the time i get it out of the closet until i wear it fully extended.I can pass my bpfsl by 0.5" with this device.although i wear it at 0.15" more as for now at the beggining. It's great for its price.

It doesn't look like a garage made item at all. There are machined parts and plastic molded parts. I thought the quality of this product was far better than things I've gotten from autoextender.

Interesting. I wonder how much more effective a set up would be though if it were pulling past bp erect length...say to your max bp flaccid stretched length ;)
