this is exactly the reason why I'm not a fan of throwing big numbers when the question is posed what one can expect within which timeline. Man, 3 inches in 3 years sounds like an eternity to you? That's nothing in terms of time but gigantic in terms of gaining, in fact, a number many will never reach. Though there are some big gainers here and some who can and want to dedicate several hours a day to PE to make such huge gains, it's absolutely not the average. the problem is that those average gainers don't talk about their numbers as often as the big gainers do (and who, as result, are also very prominent names) which totally distorts the view.
So be more modest in your expectations and you will be positively surprised if you go past them. There are only lemons to swallow if you think you can get 3 or 4 inches in one year and - very likely - will not reach that and get frustrated.

Incredible post!

1/8"-1/4" a month will bring an average of 1.5" a year. That's an excellent rate of gain for anyone. I think most men these days are too used to everything else in society coming NOW, that a year for a life changing 1.5" seems like "forever".

I've gained 2.75 inches and 1 inch in girth in 9 years. The first two years were very consistent manual work and I gained 1 inch in both length and girth. I stopped gaining with manuals after the first year I believe but didn't stop doing them religiously. Then I switched to hanging and gained 1 inch in like 6 to 8 months. Started school for my career, started my career, had many changes in address and battled drug addiction. All in the past 6 years I've had very consistent routines interspersed with inconsistency and sometimes absences but gained another 0.25 when I was on my consistent routines.

I envy the guys like DLD that made huge gains from the start. I believe if you stay consistent, experiment to find what works for you and want it bad enough you will get to you goals. And if you stay consistent you will get to them quicker but for most people anything over an inch you're looking at a few years of commitment and very few have gained over 3 inches. I hope to be among them soon.

This stuff does work and I just wish I would've been more disciplined back when privacy wasn't an issue. But no matter what your circumstances if you get creative, remain consistent (which I consistently have been repeating) and find what works for you: you will get there. Even if it takes years

I just stayed very consistent and I was always pushing the threshold of intensity. For me it was gaining 4" or nothing so I was on a journey that no matter how long it took I would get there. Motivation always stayed high because I knew PE worked and I knew that being inspired was the way to get me to where I wanted to be. I gained great in my first 6 month making a 2" gain in length and a half inch gain in girth but it took another 8+ years to gain the rest. But even today my motivation is in place and I still train daily. It is now more for maintenance and exercise development but the drive never slows down.

No false expectations Discipline,Knowledge,Hard work, are some of the keys needed for PE

I gained 3" in my first 9 months....It was like having a baby:D

I gained another 2" my second:D

Do you suppose you achieved that rate because of a canary like mentality that seemed risky at the time?

I know I put a lot more work into my training than most men of the time. I was using erect exercises when no one else would use them. I would do dual sessions everyday, morning and night. I also believed that it was possible to gain more than what most men said was possible. At the time men believed a 1/2" gain in 2 years was great and I thought that was pointless. I wanted to gain fast and I did whatever it took to get there. Days I did not feel motivated I would put twice the effort in. I never missed a day and I guess I just really expected to make huge gains and they truly came.

just wondering if people here would want to post their gain time frame for 3". Curious to see what the average/fastest/slowest times were for a 3" length gain. Did dld do it in a year or so?

I have only gained 2.5 inches. I wasn't very consistent with my routine. But if I should put all the time together, I've spent about almost 2 years to gain 2.5 inches. We all gain differently. Some people can gain quicker than others.
