I don't know who popularized jelqing here in America, but I feel it's been around atleast since the mid-90s. Don't get me wrong, DLD, I think most of your ideas and exercises are wholly original and you should be given due credit on those, but jelqing isn't one of them.

Also the word 'Jelq' to my knowledge of Arabic, isnt from the language or Turkish....its just slang term. IMHO I get a feeling that the Jel stands for something like Gel, as in gel ... its sticky but can be worked with but perhaps in those days [whoever started the jelq word] the gel was something else and similer to say baby oil. The Q'ing as in Jelqing could be to describe one doing something and I think its nearly certain to some extent that when one Milks a cow 'Milking' that the term Jelqing borrows the phrase in some extent from that. None of this is fact or gospel, just me trying to understand where the name came from.

Maybe one of the pre-biblical ancients was eating naked--something smeared with olive oil--(a leg of lamb?--I dunno), and a few drops dropped off whatever he was eating and landed on his dick.
