Although I don't want official measurements too often, I measure myself out unofficially on this paper that I keep on my desk whenever I'm curious enough. Well, I got to looking at the different marks from different days slowly creeping up on the edge of the paper, and I got to thinking: What is an inch?

The inch is the second smallest daily used measurement (centimeters beating it by a factor of 2.54). Around the equator of the earth is 1,520,640,000 inches. The average person walks 152,064 inches in any given day. The widest of trees measure out to be 1,080 inches in circumference. The average human stride is 36 inches. The average male is 70 inches tall.

The inch is so small a measurement in this enormous world, and compared to the size of things in outer space, an inch means nothing. And yet we worry about inches here. Why?

One inch here means the world to a man. One inch here means an 18% gain from average. One inch here means new worlds of pleasure. One inch here means confidence. One inch here means satisfaction. One inch here is so much more important than one inch anywhere else.

This is what I see an inch as. What do you see it as?

A one inch gain either in girth or length makes a HUGE difference in the world of P.E.
