So I was looking through this sub-forum and noticed a lot was weight loss related. I'm no guru at this stuff but health and fitness is something I strive at.

However, I thought I would fill you in on what I do that has helped me lose weight.

First off, I have went from my heaviest weight ever which was 260lbs to a lean cut up 190lb figure. Its probably been over the duration of 2 years that I have lost all that.

Things in the beginning that dropped weight fast:
-No FAST FOOD
-No POP/SODA/COKE = BAD BAD BAD
-No DIET POP

I used to drink a lot of pop, maybe 3 or 4 some days. Fast food I didnt eat everyday but I mean I ate to much of it you know? Like 3 or 4 times a week. We all know if were eating to much fast food, we dont need someone to tell us we are. These are actually fairly hard habits to kick. With a little dedication though you would be surprised. Diet pop is no exception either. Diet pop makes you crave carbs and besides that diet pop is filled with chemically altered crap that you can do without.

Ok, so that right there alone will drop weight off you fast. I think I lost about 20-30lbs just doing that (moderate exercise is recommended).

After you kick those nasty habits you can move onto more abstract problems.

-Start eating healthy
-Eat HEALTHY every 3-4 hours (keeps metabolism firing) (eat creme puffs if you want to look like a creme puff)
-No chips, brownies, ice cream, twinkies, candy, pizza, you get the idea... YOU need more whole wheats, oats, high protein, fiber, healthy fat, veges etc..
-Drink lots of water
-Take multivitamins

Once you incorporate a great new diet that involves no fast food or pop, your set for nothing but success.

In the end weight loss is really like Penis Enlargement. There is no miracle pill, just plain old hard work, dedication, and consistency.

Exercise does play an important role as well. I'm not stating this is true, but I believe that lifting weights burns more calories than cardio. But once you have lost all the "easy pounds" and your trying to get really low bf% you need to have cardio and weightlifting.

just like you put 40 plus hours at work

im sure you can fast ......and clean your body from the inside

or if your in a hurry sniff sum coke and come back to me for more

cuzz im sure your gonna like the way you look....

na just playn on the coke part but fasting should due the trick
 
yeah fasting works if you want TEMP results... otherwise you will just gain all that back...

anyway your question red, not at first I wasnt serious about cardio... but once you lose as much weight as you can with a good diet and exercise routine you got to implement something else. So in this case, cardio

Everyone thinks cardio is how you lose all your weight, you ever been to the gym and see the same ppl on the treadmills for hours day in day out? Two years later however and they still look the same... Cardio wont do sh*t for you if you dont have a good diet and weight lifting regimen.

^^eyeknot(kyocera) knows what hes talking about...you gotta have a solid weight lifting plan and a clean diet. You gotta be consistent with it and results will come. remember this, to get results its 20% what you do at the gym and 80% in kitchen. Most guys usually want abs, well abs are made in the kitchen guys (just have to lower bf %).
 
haha exactly! ABS are made in the KITCHEN, Idk how many times I've said that.

Another great example... I see overweight people doing ABS all the time... Idk if they are trying to do spot reduction or what but it doesn't matter how much ab work you do, if your not at or below 12-13% bf you will NOT see your ABS .. Plain and simple. Now there are some exceptions of course...

When my abs showed up for the first time, I did no ab work at all...
 
Eating right and not going more than three or four hours without at least a little protein, a few nuts, will keep you anabolic versus catabolic. Weightlifting with free weights, whole body lifts, sets up a three day burn. Cardio is an optional add-on to finesse diet and heavy lifting.
