Hi All,

Since last week after my jelqing workout, i saw one small red spot on my shaft but i kept on doing manual exercise and ignored it as this is my first time getting it.

So few days later the small red spot got bigger and bigger and now its a bigger purple spot and i have stopped doing jelqing for 2 days now.

Is this serious will anything happen to my penis ?

Will this purple spot go away and how long will it take, shall I stop doing manual exercise for now or keep doing it and ignore the purple spot ?

need advice.

Thx a lot

This is pretty common with any type of girth work. It is the result of a burst capillary, nothing to worry about though a little unsightly, it will go away in a day or two with some applied heat. A good warm up (i.e heat pad/rice sock) before & after your workout will help minimise these sort of spots in the future, a bit of light massage should do the trick also.

Possibly ease off the intensity of your grip for a day or so until it fades, think of it like bumping yourself & getting a bruise, you wouldn't just keep hitting the same spot over & over, it would just get worse. Hope that puts your mind at ease ☺

Thx for the reply, but now the spot has got bigger to purple color and its been 1 week now that its still visible, i took 2 days off but the spot doesnt goes away, do i need to stop manual exercise until its totally gone from my shaft ?

If it is something that is really bothering you then a couple days off in the grand scheme of things isn't a biggie. But heat, heat & more heat is the key to making it go away. I've had some pretty decent marks happen to me, a big purple circle the size of a 20c coin from gripping too tight when manual stretching to multiple pin prick red/purple dots covering the entire length after jelqing with too much intensity. I usually just use a heat pack warmed up in the microwave to wrap it in while i watch some naked people movies on my phone for 10-20 minutes, promotes good blood flow & sorts it out, it's not an immediate result but it will go away within a day or so.

Once you bruise it is important to stop training and break until the bruise goes away. If you continue to train at the intensity you were training the bruise will become bigger and bigger and eventually will be permanent. I had this issue years ago and I continued to train and the bruise eventually became permanent. Today it has faded quite a bit but is still visible. Take some time off from girth work and practice some deep tissue massage to disperse the blood. Wait until the bruise has yellowed before you start training girth again.

Do you mind telling me how much length and girth gains you have made so far?
