yea, i definitely don't see that happening lol

I don't see how since the wrap will deform eventually. You could try wrapping a "funnel" by adding turns as you get toward the back. But I doubt this would make a difference since the clamp is rigid. I'm not sure why you can't just turn up the leading edge of this clamp. Seems that a decent vice and pliers should be able to do the job. You could attach the clamp to a piece of metal pipe and let the leading edge (1/2" or so) hang off the end of the pipe. Then use pliers or a mallet or similar to slightly bend the leading edge outward all the way around.dmoney101;458245 said:i haven't seen any shorter than 3" before. is there a specific wrapping technique i could use to get the same effect?

If it's flexible enough that pliers could ruin it, I'm wondering why it can't be flexed? Do you mean that the pliers just scratched it?dmoney101;458725 said:yea...i tried the pliers and it just ruined the clamp

Generally speaking, when you bend metal with pliers you should do it in small increments.dmoney101;458872 said:see, i had it pictured in my hand that the edges would bend out smoothly, but instead it bent in a squared off shape and it ended up making like a triangle kinda shape haha

Be sure you're applying the hanger with the idea the tissue to take the weight is in front of the conical portion. As the weight is applied the hanger will move forward and the tissue will bunch. The conical shape allows the tissue to take a funnel shape thereby stopping the hanger from moving any farther forward.dmoney101;459852 said:i actually tried using the semi-messed up clamp today and it worked a little better. the wrap still slipped off after a couple minutes though
