If this is the case, why do people go through the trouble of buying infra-red lamps? From those posts, I got the impression that they were using infra-red lamps to increase the stretch or gains or something; I think it was a thread about hanging.

smerc;593254 said:Those are single use for 8hour durations. Not cost effective.
doublelongdaddy;593314 said:Active training with heat will be very gain worthy. I have never tried it but I do know that when I heat for a long time my penis becomes looser, more malleable and stretchable.
Plastic deformation occurs when collagenous tissue is heated to 40-45 degrees Celsius (104-113F) just prior to being stretched.
Collagen is unstable at temperatures just above body temperature.
Collagen types I and IV are predominate in the corpus cavernosum, with type III making up the minority.
Type I and III collagen is present in penile scar tissue, type III collagen is more abundant in tunica of men with Peyronie's plaques.

DLD, do you know the collagen type layers of the tunica? All I find are quotes, but no actual studies.
smerc;593235 said:The standard ones are really the only pads out there (12"x15"). You can fold them as well and use a strap/velcro to secure them into place over your hanging/extending exercises.
If you're not interested in using them during workouts. You might be better off w/ a microwavable pad (more for quick warm ups/downs).
GhostRider;593406 said:Thanks. The reason I'm asking this question is I'm trying to figure out under what name they are sold in my country.
youknowme123321;593408 said:just the normal heating pad you plug into the wall and use on your lower back. they're everywhere
GhostRider;593409 said:Thanks, just found them. Where I'm from they call them "electric pillows". WTF?
