hello folks, once there has been a lot of posts about the proper way to measure I would like to bring this up differently.
Well, beyond the fact that the ''official'' way to measure length is bone pressed, the right way in my opinion is to measure the erected ''non bone pressed'' with curve removed. I know that it is irrelevant for most people in here because the most important thing here is to track your record (whether ''bone pressed'' or ''non bone pressed'') BUT considering just the erected length that enters the vagina is the ''non bone pressed''(as most of the people have fat pad) with the curve removed.

In that case the curve will have to be removed. So tell me your thoughts on this...

true but the curve will make a little difference.....not a HUGE difference....... the hard part is fixing that curve...lol

Bpel still remains the best to track progress since any changes to bodyfat will affect nbpel.

When having sex the entire penis can enter the woman right to the pubic bone, pushing the fat pad back. Bragging rights go to the NBP size but the only way to track length gains properly is bone pressed. Non-Bonepressed will vary depending on how much fat is at the pad above the penis so if only measuring NBP you will be getting extremely inaccurate measurements, unless you have no fat pad, in which case BP and NBP will be very close to each other.

When measuring the penis all of the following measurements are important:

Correctly Charting Your Measurements

Bone Pressed Erect Length
Penis length is defined as the linear distance along the dorsal side of the erect penis extending from the mons veneris to the tip of the glans. In non-medical terms, the penis length is measured in a straight line on the top side of the erect penis, from the start of your pubic bone to the tip of your penis. Penis circumference is defined as the linear distance around the widest, thickest, part of the erect penis (see below).

1. Stimulate yourself into the erectile state.
2. Place your ruler at the pubic bone, at the base of your erect penis and measure to the tip of your glans.
3. Read the nearest quarter-inch measurement at the tip of your penis. (In the example shown, the measurement would be 4 and 3/4 (4.75) inches.)

Bone Pressed Flaccid Stretch
1. Make sure you are in a completely flaccid state.
2. Place your ruler at the pubic bone on the side of the penis
3. Stretch penis straight out
3. Read the nearest quarter-inch measurement at the tip of your penis

Non-Bone Pressed Erect Length
1. Stimulate yourself into the erectile state.
2. Place your ruler at the skin on the belly, at the base of your erect penis and measure to the tip of your glans without pushing ruler.
3. Read the nearest quarter-inch measurement at the tip of your penis.

Flaccid Length
1. Make sure you are in a completely flaccid state.
2. Place your ruler at the skin on the belly, at the base of your flaccid penis and measure to the tip of your glans without pushing ruler.
3. Read the nearest quarter-inch measurement at the tip of your penis.

Penis Erect Circumference
Penis length is not the only factor in determining penis size. The width, girth, or fatness, of a penis is also an important aspect when considering how you compare. Most people have a penis that is either longer and thinner, or shorter and fatter. To compare how the girth of your penis compares to the population, use the instructions below to determine your penile circumference (distance around the widest part of your penis).

1. Stimulate yourself into the erectile state.
2. Place the fabric ruler or string end at the widest part of your penis and wrap it carefully around one time. Mark the spot where the string first touches itself.
3. If using string, take the marked string and lay it against the ruler. Read to the nearest quarter-inch measurement.

But most of us here don't measure from the top of the penis, we measure from the side.

well thats for self motivation but the right way is written above...

Thanks DLD! Very useful information and answered all my questions related to measurements.

No Problem!

I'm still feeling depressed from this new discovery but its worth it

First short dick , now you..i'm afraid to measure LMAO Maybe i'm 5 inches and i've been lying to myself all of this time.

As far as measuring the penis with a curve, use a tailors tape so you do not miss size in the arch. Every bit of a curved penis counts measurement wise.

For me, bone press measurement is the right way to measure. During sex, your penis goes into the hole deeper thereby revealing the penis hidden behind the fat pad.

If you messure from where the fat and skin begins, and not from the Pubis (Pubic bone), your messurment will not be accurate and it will varies everytime you are messuring.

The logic behind this, is that the skin and fat are soft and compressible, and bone is not (Pubic Bone/Pubis). If you have a variable starting point of messurment you can as you say "cheat" your way to a longer penis. Since dependent on how hard you are pressing your ruler/messurment tool into your "fat pad" (Pubis/Pubic Bone) you will get diffrent values every time you are messuring. There is nothing accurate about: None Bone Pressed Erect Length or, None Bone Pressed Flaccid Stretch Length.

That's why brothers here on MOS will ask you about your BPEL value (if you only have state your NBPEL) since this is the measurment that is important when you have sexual intercourse.

Also your "fat pad" will compress during intercourse so this is TRUE:
For me, bone press measurement is the right way to measure. During sex, your penis goes into the hole deeper thereby revealing the penis hidden behind the fat pad.

And also this messurment (BPEL) is the pure proof that your penis have become longer in the functional state = erected state.

You want a solid and fixed point from where you are measuring to get an accurate value.
•See my attached picure (Pubic Bone).

So if we are using your method of messuring (Non Bone Pressed Erect Length => NBPEL) right now....and then wait...5 minutes then messure again.
The first and second messurments will not be the same.
This way of messuring is only to please your own EGO...it's not useful at all.

To messure from your Pubis (Pubic bone) is the only way to measure reliable and accurately every single time. Your penis will not change/move in relation to the pubic bone. The only variable that can change, is how hard your erection is?, and if it's not 100% hard, this can also impact the BPEL value. But every true messurment of BPEL, should be measured with 100% erection, so this should not be a factor to include at all.

You should also messure with the starting point from the top of your penis (at the root), and also drive your ruler/tailor tape/messuring device hard into your Pubis (Pubic Bone), that is: Into your fat pad.
This is the only pure and scientific way to messure your penis. Messuring your BPFSL - Bone Pressed Flaccid Stretch Length can also be useful to keep track of your penis length, that is flaccid in relation to your erected length. But all messurments should be measured from your Pubis (Pubic Bone), if not, it's not a trustworthy messurment.

Accept the logic, and "just" grow if you are not satisfied with your current messurment from your pubic bone.

You are correct brother, you need to measure with the curve removed, with a flexible messuring tool, that follows the curvature of your penis. Or you can have a straight ruler and make your penis straight before you are messuring. See attached picture. The ruler should be on the top of your penis, from your perspective, when you are messuring.

I don't want to write about this anymore, I have already written a long text about this once before.

- Can we not just accepted the proper way to messure a penis?

Completely perfect post! You impress me more and more each day

I've never done this before. I will see to it when next I'm measuring. I will use a tailor tape and a ruler. Both measurements would be taken by July.

I will also measure in July (beginning of September). But I think I need Viagra or L-Citrulline for that, especially If I want to log it with a photo. Doing Kegels as much as possible to keep my erection strong.

I intend taking Viagra on that day of measurement too. It's very important.
