Some Questions on Stretching + Tension with SG

Can one use the [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]SG[/words] or x4 labs without springs?
So that you add rods to surely reach one's BPSFL without too much tension?
I heard that the x4 has 3600 gramm ( minimum 1200 gramm). That seems too high for a beginner. I heard that 1000 to 1200 would be good.
