Funny thing I actually thought about inventing something similar in practice. Ie measuring the temperature of the glans with an infrared thermometer and using a microcontroller and tiny stepper motors to adjust the tension accordingly. But the infrared sensor would have been too expensive...except for scraping a ear thermometer.
