I'd like to see how tolerant Lex is in other respects. He seems to be very concerned about racism in adult entertainment but now that he is directing, I wonder how many small dicks he uses, fat, skinny, short or extra tall people he uses in his scenes. There are probably aspiring pornstars with those characteristics that feel exactly as he did. It's easy to play the racism card, but adult entertainment is show business, it isn't equal rights, it is about giving the people what they want. Does he think it's easier for white people to get booked for scenes? Considering the amount of white pornstars there are, I would say it is equally as competitive for white guys as it is for black guys.
I have a friend who is black and wants to get into the industry, he is ALWAYS talking about how a less attractive white person is always picked for a scene before he is... but I've seen some of these guys, and they're A- Hotter, B- Hung..er, C- More professional. Not saying that this friend of mine is ugly because he is black, thats not it at all... you're attractive or you're not, race has nothing to do with it. And adult entertainment is NOT an easy industry to get into, you need to know the right people and act the right way. This particular guy is also an escort... which is generally frowned upon (at least in the gay adult entertainment industry) because studios like their exclusives to be Exclusive, ie. Customers have to buy the adult entertainment to see them, not pay $200 for a personal encounter. Anyway, my point is there are heaps of other reasons why a person isn't booked for a scene, not their race. It doesn't help if you're a loud mouth and accuse studios of being racist when you're not hired. How many white guys were rejected for the same role?
He is also touchy about the gangsta adult entertainment thing, that it seems black guys only get typecast as gangstas in adult entertainment. I tend to agree with that, it is pretty sad that they're always the thug. But... if gangs and thug shit weren't so popular in real life then that role probably wouldn't be so popular, its a fetish thing, a niche. So is that the adult entertainment industries fault? Or consumers? Or thugs? Or maybe just be fucking thankful you're getting booked for anything, at least you're getting work right? Jesus!
In the end it comes down to demand/supply. If there is a demand for interracial or more black on black adult entertainment, there would be more of it made... Studios wouldn't listen to the opinion of a minority (racists) and cut production on interracial adult entertainment if they thought they could make some serious cash from it. They are ALWAYS looking for a way to make extra money, especially these days with most adult entertainment lovers going straight to xtube or downloading through torrents.
Is Lex now producing adult entertainment where he casts black men and white women in non-thug scenes? I guess that would make all the difference to me. "Be the change you want to see in the world". etc etc
