Dry ejaculations???

I am seeking some advice before I seek advice from my doctor about dry ejaculations. The last 3 times I have either masturbated or had sex I orgasm and it feels like normal but only a little dribble comes out almost nothing,I usually ejaculate alot. Pre cum gets expelled as normal and there is no pain at all. I have never had any sort of problem like this ever and cannot find much about it on the internet.

I have not had any injuries or preceeding problems in this area and have fathered a child with my wife 10 years ago, also I am 37 years old non drinker and non smoker and workout everyday and eat a healthy junk food free diet.
The only thing that I have been on for the past 2 years is Lexapro 5mgs a day which is a very low dosage for anxiety not depression. The only effect this had was delayed ejaculation but the amount was still normal. Lexapro totally diminished my sex drive and I had a high sex drive before using this drug. I still had sex and everything worked fine just no urge at all. I have now just finished weening off Lexapro.

The only other point that maybe of some significance, is that due to lack of sex drive I didnt have sex or masturbate for about 8 weeks before this happened. This would be the longest period of abstinence I have ever had. I am totally bewildered to any reason this may have occured and any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
 
there's a condition called "retrograde ejaculation" which means that your seemen is shot in the blatter instead of your girlfriend. as far as I read it could derive from diabetes, prostate surgery or some medication which is the interesting part if you use supplements for pe.

Thanks MM, I have web searched like you wouldnt believe about my problem, and retrograde ejaculation is one of many things I turned up. I very sure Im not diabetic and I have never had any prostate surgery, infection (prostatis) or bacterial infections (STD's) that have an impact on the repoductive / urinary tract.
Thanks for your input. I have spent the last 5 hours searching more medical texts and all problems that can occur have symptoms or associated reasons that dont justify or correlate to my problem. I am totally dumbfounded. I do have an appointment with the Doctor tomorrow. Im very sure that my penis will do the right thing and turtle up on me and embarrass the heck out of me.

Ive experienced this very condition for a few weeks back in the spring of 2002 -- I had been in the hot springs for over and hour and a half, straight, w/o any water breaks. I just got so relaxed I forgot, boy was that stupid!! I also had been smoking some marijuana around that time in my life [not that night], as well.

The high temperature combined with possible bacteria may have caused it. How did I recover in less than 3 weeks? I went for acupuncture!! And chinese herbs. I went for 5 acupuncture treatments, and reduced my adult entertainment intake by about half, and cut out the weed completely. It was a scary time for me, because I also went to my GP, just to be sure it wasn't something else - I was concerned that I was 'broken' because before it happened I had no idea about those symptoms.

The acupuncture definitely was the primary way I got better, also the chinese doctor gave me dietary advice to eat essence building foods like yams, lots of bean soups, coconut milk as a flavoring, etc. Anyway I also did these, religiously, in those few weeks - I was real freaked out!:O

A medical term for the reduced or nonexistent pleasurable release of orgasm involved in this problem is called 'ejaculatory anhedonia'. Are you sure a lack of seminal fluid release upon ejaculation always means its retrograde? If so its something I didn't know before....Hydromaxm.

Since then I've developed a fear of hot tubs. Actually, I still hottub, just a lot less, and when I do I remember to bring lots of water w/me!

Hey DD, Thanks for your input. Since I last posted I have found out a few things that may have caused this condition. I will know more in 2 days when I get the results from my blood test from my GP.
I had a full hormone profile done at my request and a general liver/ health screen also.
At the time this occurred I was using a supplement to boost my testosterone as I have been Bodybuilding for 18 years ( and no I dont use steriods). This is the reason I used this product that contained a compound (3, 17-keto-etiochol-triene) also know as ATD. ATD is what is known as an Aromatase inhibitor, without getting to specific it suppresses a mans ESTROGEN (female hormone, yes we do have some) which by achieving this increases natural Testosterone levels by 2-3 times higher than normal.
This product is sold over the counter in nutrtional stores and is not an anabolic steriod. What I found out later is that if ESTROGEN in a man is suppressed too much it will not only kill your libido, but decrease ejaculation amount and decrease sperm count, even though you have higher than normal testosterone levels produced by your body.
I will know if this is the reason when my hormone level is evaluated in 2 days.
I am now off this product and I seem to be ejaculating a liitle more although from what I have read it could take up to 3 weeks to return to normal. By reading forums on bodybuilding sites many people have had very similar experience with this product, although some (small minority) have had positive effects with it.
Anyway will post back when test results come in. As for retrograde ejaculation it only occurs in people who have diabetes (some not all), spinal injuries or prostate surgery.

Many medications can affect sexual function and ejaculation including anti-depressants such as Prozac and drugs for high-blood pressure.
Best speak to your doctor as it may require a change of prescription.
As long as you get the sensations of ejaculation the realise of fluid is not obligatory and many (albeit) older men content themselves with "dry" orgasms...

Well I have ween off the anti-depressants over the last 5 weeks, but I know that they were not the factor behind this problem. This is because i was on Lexapro for 3 years 5mg/day (low dosage) and all that would do is during sex is delay my orgasm. The amount of ejaculation and the intensity wasnt altered ever.
As this predicament happened all of a sudden it has played on my mind a hell of alot. As for older Im 37 and train religeously and eat a perfect year round as well as being a non smoker/drinker. In fact my life is so clean even my wife thinks Im a health nut (but so is she).
I had all my blood work done and Im in perfect health with high levels of the necessary hormones to be ejaculating alot, so now its more tests to be done in three weeks. Im still hopeful it will subside.

Most men ejaculate 5mg of semen (a teaspoonful).
Can you ejaculate when you masturbate ?
Perhaps your hormone levels are low.
Are your testes "smaller" or is your body hair thinner ?
I would not worry.
Many men associate vigorous ejaculations with enormous quantities of sperm firing across the room as "the norm".
Some men ooze ; some shoot.
As simple as that ....
 
yea stay off of lexapro. that shit is not good. see how everything functions after all the lexapro is outta ur system. other than that you are a very healthy person so im guessing that it was the lexapro that was fucking with you man.

I had all blood tests done by the doctor and they came back with no underlying problems. In fact my free testosterone (active testosterone) was very high 604 pmol/L (reference range 225-725) and my estrogen levels (female hormone,yes we do have some) 68 pmol/L (ref: 50-150).These indicate very good values.

So basically Im still a man!! Anyway, I realise that some men shoot alot and some very little, my concern is that I was shooting a very descent amount and with good force and distance and now all of a sudden without any problems I just start to dribble out a little with no force what so ever.

I have to have some more tests done in about 3 weeks, but this has got me concerned. The only thing I could seem to find that may have some relevance is some people can get partial blockage of the ejaculatory duct.
If it is this I dont understand how this could happen all of a sudden. One day shooting great and next time dribbling a little. It has been about the same for around 3 weeks now.
 
Also post-vasectomy some men produce less sperm (a blockage of sorts).
Many swear by special diets to increase the quantity and quality of their ejaculations.
Zinc is good to improve semen.

Well I didnt have a vasectomy so that isnt the issue. Also the sperm content of semen is around 5% so it would make minimal difference in ejaculatory volume. The majority of fluid comes from the seminal vesicles (approx.65%) and the prostate (approx.30%). This still wouldnt have any effect on the force which I now have none.

I just went thru this exactly. I don't know about lexapro so take this with a grain of salt...

It appears I got some kind of fungus from my wife, a bacteria of some form. I drank a ton of water, 1.5 gallons per day + anything else, and about 2 cups of cranberry juice daily. It took about 2 and half weeks and then everything went back to normal.

My first weird experience was while taking a piss. I just stopped right in the middle of going without clenching my PC...I tried the reverse kegel and yet still nothing, so I freaked out.

I've been on cortisteroid for about a month for tennis elbow but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

So, maybe try some 100% cranberry juice for a couple weeks.

Thanks OCD, do you have any idea as to the name of the fungus? Did this fungus cause you to lose ejaculation force and semen quantity?

My orgasms definitely were limited in volume but the weird part was that I would just stop ejacualting for no reason. I'm good now but I still drink a gallon of water a day plus whatever and one good size glass of cranberry juice daily with my vitamins.

You might want to look into taking 1,000 mg daily of arginine as well.

Actually, steroids are well known for causing fungal infections...
