weight loss please help ! drinking beer & losing weight,is it possible

I do not ban people, my staff does.

That's why we're here. We're not "ban happy" either. Unlike on other forums, we give people more than a fair chance. It has to come to damn near a human rights violation before you get banned on MOS.

Light beers still hold a lot of calories, so thats not really an option. You've got to reduce the drinking - its the only option I'm afraid. There will be a massive amount of calories in 10 cans of fosters - something approaching your daily allowance of callories! There are about 200 callories in a can of foster - 10 cans equals 2000 callories. 70 cans a week equals 14,000 extra callories a week.

As you know, weight loss is only possible if you burn more callories than you consume. Jogging burns off about 500 callories per hour. You can jog for 28 hours per week to burn off just your fosters intake - personally I would find it easier to drink less!

Think about it, each can represents around 24 minutes of jogging - that stacks up a load when you drink around 70 a week. You don't have to give up drinking altogether. Why not set yourself some rules. Manbe only drink at weekends - that would save you 50 cans worth of jogging per week! Or limit yourself to 2 or 3 per evening.

You can't go on drinking so much anyway, as it will eventually start to damage some of your vital organs, so you've no real option but to cut down the drinking!

On the fucking ball!

Jogging and chronic cardio are pretty bad for you anyway. Do resistance exercises instead.

hey,
i know this thread is old but i thought maybe i could offer some interesting advice. i was in a very similar situation of drinking heavily everyday and put on a ton of weight. At 22 i weighed around 160pounds and at 24 i weighed 210 but i've now changed my life style and im losing 8 pounds a month.
(the loss of over an inch and a half on my nbp lengh is added motivation to keep losing weight lol)
But yeah what im doing is no drinking during the week and eating sensibly. I think your lack of food intake is probably increasing your craving for beer as it's your main calorie intake.
i eat fruit for breakfast, soup for lunch (no bread) then whatever for dinner and drink water, coffee/tea no milk or sugar and one glass of diet soda.
Then come the weekends i get crazy drink beer, eat pizza whatever.
I think maybe if u do it that way you'll be able to stick to it just drink on the weekend and eat sensibly during the week remembering it's a gd idea to eat little and often to keep your metabolism ticking over.

Hope this helps if you got an questions let me know?

I lost about 6kg per month but i did a straight low carb, less than 30g of carbs per day ,and mostly whey and egg whites!

i did 1h cardio every day, weights after.
the most important thing is food...
I will start soon another crazy low carb insanity!

What Red said.
Although there is a slight option.
Guiness and every other stout I've had, has less calories than a light beer. If yer favorite watering hole has stout on tap, than good for you and I'm jealous.
Otherwise, most hard liquor has little or no nutritional value, and if you blend it with diet soda, than correct, it will prob not make you gain weight. Depends how much you drink, and how you handle the drink. Also varied sodium levels in diet soda had varied effects on participants.
