Hi guys,

I need your advice as I don't know what I would need to do. Yesterday I went to see the consultant urology at the top hospital in London. I have discussed to him about the swelling in my scrotal sack. I have had a checked over and he said that he don't know why my scrotal sack got swollen when he saw it, so he suggested me to have a ultrasound scan at the same day when I go back to see him. I have had a ultrasound scan and the nurse have found a lump on the left side of my scrotal sack when she asked me to make some cough, so she have told the urology about what she saw on the scan.

I got out of the room and when I got called in, I have been told that I have varicocele a small lump on the left side of my scrotal sack which it make my scrotal sack to swell like bags of worm. I did not realised I have this type of problem for three years which it has cause me the pain and mild swelling when I stand up for too long or when I go for a long walk. He also said that I have a tight muscle in my scrotal sack that pull my testicles which it have cause the testicles to get shrinkage, the muscle is called cremaster. He said that he would leave this alone as it is too risky to operate it as it could give me further problems especially damage on the testicles as I would not have children again, nerve injury, bleeding, infections...etc. He advised me to do some research first to have a time to think about what I need to do before I will go back and see him again.

Today when I went out for a drive, I could feel the pain in my left scrotal sack (I knew I have varicocele) so when I got home I have laid down on my bed to make me feel more comfortable and when I unzipped my boxer, I can see that my scrotal sack got hang lower without get shrinkage with bags of worms. I can confirmed that I have varicocele because I got the swelling with the bag of worms when I went for a long walk to see the specialist yesterday, I have had a pain when I went for a drive and when I laid down it got relieved of the swelling without the bags of worms as my scrotal sack got hang lower. And I can see that I might have a turkey neck where the skin gets too tight between on the penis shaft and the scrotal. I have attached the pictures for you to take a quick look. It sounds like to me that I don't have a tight cremaster muscle. I don't know how he knows that if I do have a tight cremaster muscle or not.

How do I know if I do have a tight cremaster muscle? Is it easy to treat it?

Do you think if I do have a turkey neck that makes my penis to go small?

Can varicocele cause erectile dysfunction?

Do you recommend if I should get the treatment for varicocele to stop giving me further problems?

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance.

Just get the vericocele operated on. It's no big deal and yours is not that serious. These days they put tiny springs inside the veins and collapse the vericoele. Your left ball will increase in size within a year and sperm count will return.

As for the cremaster thing, I have no idea what that is.

By the way, do you use a VLC tugger?

Varicocele, in most cases, will resolve itself. If it is too the point where it will not heal its own I suggest you see your doctor. The procedure take literally 5 minutes and there is no long healing periods.

No no, in the testicles it only gets worse with time. The cause is weakened valves due to damage or just defects. Like you said, it's a quick procedure so it's best to sort it out before it gets worse. Just sort it out if you can. If not, don't stress too much, you won't die or anything.

Yeah I will do, I'm going to have varicocele embolization as I have heard it is safe to do so. Yes my ball will increase in size within a year and it will cause low sperm count.

The cremaster thing is a muscle, where it will control my testicles to keep them cool. :)

I don't think I have a tight cremaster muscle, I guess I have full bag of worms with tight balls that has affect me. :(

Yes I did used VLC tugger. Why is that are there is a problem? does they cause a varicocele?

If so I will stop using it and I would use bathmate instead to be safe. :)

Unfortunately, with my condition it won't go away on its own. I have this type of problem for 3 years now and I cant really see it. :(

I am going to see my doctor to get check up with my testerstone level to keep monitor on it. If the testerstone level is drop or get low level then I would need to get a treatment and delay my operation just in cause it will stop me to cause further damage on my testicles and low sperm count. I want to keep to be on the safe side, it is better to be on the safe than being sorry :)

What treatment I would need to take it 5 minutes to make varicocele to go away?

Oh I have got a question for you, have varicocele affected your son's erection?

I'm just wonder because i am suffered with erectile dysfunction when I have varicocele so it looks like it has affect me alot until I get the problem sort it out. :(

In some cases yes but in other no. My Son Varicocele and the surgeon said it was not bad enough fore surgery and that it resolve itself.

From Wiki:
Treatment depends on severity
Varicoceles that cause no symptoms typically require no treatment. Cases in which symptoms occur can be repaired surgically.

Did your son suffered with erectile dysfunction when he had varicocele?

I'm suffered with erectile dysfunction as I have varicocele so I think it could be related to this condition? :(

What treatment I would need to take it 5 minutes to make varicocele to go away what you said in your previous post?

I'm thinking about to get varicocele embolization treatment as it hasn't resolve itself. :(

I did not mention any therapy in my post. The 5 minutes pertained to how long the surgery would take if necessary. My Son did not have any ed issues. It went away on it's own over 3-4 months.

Thats strange, I have google it and it have come up with people who have similar problem to mine.

If varicocele does not cause erectile dysfunction, it sounds like I might have injury the vascular vein in my penis.

Do I need a scan to see if I have injury the vein that caused by the vacuum pump?

It'll be best if you seek advice from a medical professional in this case... maybe get 2 or 3 opinions from actual doctors since this is a medical issue, not just cosmetic.

Exactly. There is only so much we can diagnose from online. If the advice we are giving is off I would definitely see a Urologist.

No, it doesn't cause varicocele. Just makes excess foreskin. I've noticed on mine that there is more loose foreskin when flacid, after only several weeks of VLC tugging. it doesn't quite stretch out flat like it used to when erect either.
