Thats correct, this thread is all about men's facial hair.
I would like to hear members input on facial hair, styles they like or use and tips on getting it right.

I myself aint a damn clue what the names of the styles are but I LOVE the stuff. ATM I have a goatee, which is trimmed thin and is joined by side burns on both sides which are also thinly trimmed. To top this off I have a moustache which is again thinly trimmed and joins the others.

So in a nutshell I have a moustache, goatee and side burns which are all trimmed and join eachother ... looks good to me but I think I could get it much better and think I might trim the sides off and opt for having a thin middle line running up below the lip.

Alright ... take a breath and lets discuss our facial hair.
Dont feel the need to send in YOUR pictures, I aint doing that.
I will find some pix from the net soon of what I like and what myn looks like, if I fail I will draw it and scan it in here.

Finally, anyone know what most girls/woman think of facial hair?

Should be interesting.

I like to keep clean shaven. Is yours like Craig David sorta thing?

I'll check him out tommorow, but if I remember rightly its similer.
Okaym, your from the UK and remember the Italian Striker Del Piero right? well we used to refer to the side burns as 'Del piero side burns' so I have those and if you remember that geezer from Eastenders, the Italian cockney with the surname of 'Greco' the woman loved his arse to death...well the style is also slightly similer but not as good as his the bastard has skill to get it looking so good.

Ah yea, I remember them both. Those are pretty cool if you can pull them off.

I have a full beard right now. I need to trim it up some, it's getting offensive. :D

I have a very thin mustache and some thin hairs on my chin. I used to do clean shaven, but I was told by some girls that they liked my facial hair. In fact, one of my friend's mom once said "Wow! That's the first Asian boy I've ever seen with a mustache! He's cute!"

i get real lazy sometimes and dont shave for a month. when im clean shaven i get complimented sometimes. other times i get looks from girls and who say they like the way the beard looks, even when it's not styled and i just let it grow wild. sometimes i trim it so the sides are clean and all i have is the moustache and chin connected at the sides of the mouth. so i don't really know. i guess it depends on taste and whats gonna look good on one guy may not look good on just any other and vice-versa. it's like clothes, an accessory or a hairstyle. what's gonna look good on someone will depend on their bone structure, head shape and what their face looks like. i'd like to trim the goatee real thin and have it connect to my sideburns along the bottom of my jaw but i can't be bothered and unfortunately my sides/cheek don't fill out so i won't really be able to do that well. there's also a spot right under my chin, a small circle where hair doesn't grow, it's weird. it doesn't look bad though it might look like it's done on purpose ( hey, that could be a new style right there ) maybe if i shave more often it will stimulate hair growth. it's like my chest hair which didn't fill out until 2 or so years ago in my mid 20s which i thought was odd until i heard it's not uncommon for mediterranean men to fill out only in about their late 20s, give or take. now i got this black hair all over my chest running down getting slightly narrower growing into the pubes. thank god i dont have a hairy back though other than individual strands here and there that piss me off i try to yank the ones i can reach from the roots. i went ot there toward the end but i'd like to see some styles of facial haircuts too.

I have done the goatee/mustache thing as well as the full beard thing before. Right now, I have been clean-shaven for a couple of years now.

I think the big thing with facial hair is it definitely tends to be more in style and accepted when it's kept nice and trimmed. Anyone pursuing facial hair should definitely invest in a nice beard trimmer with several different length settings. I have one with nine different length settings and I never let it get longer than the number three setting.

It sounds like I have the exact same facial hair as you Red.

I wet shave but leave out the goatie etc, and then trim the rest with hair trimmers.

Also, for anyone that uses shaving foam I highly recomend that you try shaving oil. It's much, much better IMO.

Fucking rocking. Penguinsfan I also tend to opt for the #3 setting.
At the moment I'm thinking of new styles for me to use and to make it better, man it takes TIME to get it just right and even than I aint 100% satisfied with it. I've had compliments from woman saying they like it but I dunno really if they do or are they being nice like us men saying an arse isnt big in such a pair of pants when its really the size of South America :)

I'm gunna search Google images now for those two guys I was refering to in my opening post, also I encourage you all to get some links to anyone who has good facial hair or styles you have or want/like.

I used to keep the sideburns a couple years ago but since then I stay clean shaven.

I like to go for a thick full goatee and a mustache that do no connect. At the moment I am clean shaven, since it's warm outside and the facial hair tends to soak up the heat quite a bit, plus it's just a nice change. I personally don't like the thin, neat, and trimmed look on me. I like the burly Viking facial hair, you know, facial hair with some substance to it.

I do the short chinstrap beard thats about a half inch thick along with the goate minus the mustache... if not that than clean shaved.

Cool, seems a few of us sport these things :)

Now whats your opinions on womans views to these?

Well This i knowfor sure about woman. they like 2 things....clean shaven smooth faces, or the scruffy look. Goatees.....omg woman HATE goatees. basically anything other that shaven or scruffy is no good.

Hmmmm well from my experiences I have found that the 'Craig David' look goes alongway and the woman really like it but you must have the jaw line, looks and even skin colour to get it to work.

My skin is tanned, not olive but not far from it.
When my facial hair is trimmed properly and my hair done than the woman cant resist me and they say the facial hair looks good, smart, cool.

Some say they prefer the rugged look ... some prefer the clean look but this artistic look we see more now really gets the woman looking and thinking because it says allot about you, i.e you care about your appearance and pay attention to detail, plus your imaginative....okay this is going deep and most woman wont think like this.

My fiancee loves my full beard. But I shaved it off yesterday. :D

It was time for a change. I've had a full beard for 4 years. So now I have a goatee, no moustache, and the "soul patch" part is still there. I still have sideburns too. I think it looks better, more clean or something. We'll have to see what she thinks.
