just a quick question for all, how many of you are born again? i mean really born again
like you know the exact time when and where you were when it happened and you noticed that you were definitely a changed person.

like i was born again in aug 1979 when i was 14, it took me a week to realize it but i could no longer smoke pot because my conscience would'nt allow me to do that anymore, and also i could'nt swear anymore. i was changed, reborn.

i hope you all dont take this wrong i'm not some elitist or something but some people think born again means something different than actually having your human spirit reborn or born again by a supernatural act of God , and people usually notice a change in their lives.

testify if you were born again please.

To be born again, you don't have to be able to remember the exact date. I remember it was in the fall of 9th grade, and I remember talking to my youth pastor about it. It took a while for me to change much, but the changing part is a process, not a sudden event.

sorry to confuse anyone, i'm not saying a persons memory has anything to do with being born again, i'm just saying it happens in an instant, a persons spirit is changed instantly when he asks God into his heart.

"if any man be in Christ (born again) he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. 2 corinth. 5:17

in that instant there is a change, thereafter change can come thru spiritual growth
and prayer etc.

many testify to instant change upon being born again like people set free from drug addiction or other addictions, or being set free from prostitution, demons any number of things that occur in the human condition.

I do not remember a exact date, since getting saved I have fallen away from God many times and i always come back, I am not perfect and God Forgives our sins. I try to live a Christian life the best I can, tell people about Jesus and profess that I am a Christian to the world.

So men and women. how do we really know everything happened back then?
What if it just were a dude writing it down, and just making it up, just to give people something to believe in. Keep their hopes up nomather what, sad times, bad times, fot better or for worse...?
It would have been very smart, hard to go back and see if you know what i mean.

Yeah I knew you were joking. So was I.

Well I guess we can't be 100% absolutely sure, but there is pretty good evidence that suggests it was written by lots of different people over a long period of time. For instance, different dialects of Greek and Hebrew are present in the Bible from different time periods. Also each author has a distinct writing style, so it would be hard for one man, or even a few to fake that many writing styles and also the different dialects. There's some other evidence. There's a book by Lee Strobel called The Case for Faith that does a good job of explaining the evidence that this stuff actually did happen.

Plus, you said you'd send him a prayer he could pray. There isn't any magical qualities of any prayer that makes you suddenly a Christian. It's a change of heart and a decision to follow Christ.

Yea there is magic in a prayer that u can pray---of course heavenly magic because magic is of the devil---because in order to be born again or to accept Christ into your heart you have to Pray Pray Pray and talk to god brah!!

You just gotta believe man---It really did happened and many peoples lives are changing by the grace of God---if this wasnt true then that would mean that evolution is true and that till this day apes would still be evolving till this day and there would be alot of different evolutions going on!!!!!

But it isn't the prayer itself that does the "magic" dude. When you think of it that way, it becomes more of an incantation than a prayer. It's the fact that you mean those words, no matter what words you use. My point was that telling him to pray a prayer that you give him does not insure his salvation. It isn't the words, but the heart.

i agree with u bro---Pit your heart into your prayer and you will experience the magic of God!!!!Of course if you pray without putting your heart into it then nothing will happen---you have to mean your prayer and believe in it!!!!

what can I do to help get over this ex of mine. I just want to let go of the hurt and the pain. How could he treat me like that? I want to ask him that so bad. He has now moved on. I am so disgusted with myself that I still have feelings for him.
My friend called me and said that the Holy Spirit told her that I need to become intimate with God. Only thing is I don't know how. I know God is real, but to take it to that level is hard to wrap my brain around b/c there isn't a physical person here. ya know?

God knows if you are seious by looking into your heart, if you are honest and true to yourself then you will be to God.
