Here's a Bible verse,

Matthews, Chapter 10, Verse.#
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Excellent verse, and one that can be taken WAY out of context very easily. Like the way that I will assume you are taking it. Correct me if I am wrong.

Read the whole chapter, or better yet, the whole Book of Matthew. And then you'll understand. If you want to understand.

Corinthians 11:14
Doth not even nature himself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

Didnt Jesus have long hair? At least that is the way he is portrayed.

How come you guys dont obey God when he wrote in the Bible in Exodus, quite specifically, that anyone who works on the Sabbath should be put to death?

We don't know what Jesus looked like. All the Bible said about His appearance is that He wasn't really much to look at. The long hair thing is probably a Catholic or Orthodox tradition.

Exodus was written before Christ, and before the New Covenant. After Christ, we are no longer bound by the old laws. In all of your exensive study of the Bible you've never come across this?

Oh maybe that's because you pick out single verses and take them out of context instead of actually reading what they say. :D

Quit adding words into my mouth. I said that we are no longer bound by the law, not that the whole Old Testament was false.

The message of the Bible isn't easy to understand for all of us, try to help each other. Don't fight because there are enough religion related wars going on already.

I thought the Ten Commandments were in the Old Testament? does that mean were not bound by those laws either?

Nexos, this is not a thread about what you are trying to start, you already started a anit-bible thread, so post in that, this anti bible posts will no be allowed in this thread.

You hit the nail on the head. Surprised? Maybe you don't know as much about the Bible and Christianity as you thought you did. Try learning what we really believe before you try (unsuccessfully) to refute it.
