So up until this point I have used an expensive help pump that cost around $25 the question that I hope to address here for everyone, is what is the difference between the bath mate and a "regular" pump? I eat right, train hard in the gym, right diet and training plans for other clients, and currently sponsored by two fitness companies. I have completed the beginner routine, and have moved on to SRT on a pretty consistent basis, however sometimes my work duties prevent me from exercising as much as I would like. If the bath mate pump is worth the money and will provide better results than I am all for it , I am however probably like many of us, on a strict budget and a 5 year $ plan... 10 years ago I would have spent twice that much money without even thinking twice, but I have learned ....

get the x30 if you can, you ll see how great that device works..

Do you use the Bathmate Hydromax device, because I used regular air-pumps and wondering what is the difference is as well. I'll find out soon enough, since I won last month's, August 2016 Prize Giveaway.
MOS members please make your comments on your experiences and the differences with both types of product(AIR vs WATER) if you have used both types.

I air pump myself and have made gains. I used to own the Bathmate Hercules but would hate how it often confined me to the bathroom.

I use an air pump with a gauge and experiment often with time and pressure. I find that Pulse Pumping works for getting a good pump size to jelq and squeeze with while long sessions (>30 mins, always recommended to let your penis breathe after 20 mins of straight pumping) at low pressure (2-3.5 Hg) is great for EQ training. One day a week, when I have the apartment to myself I do a long session of 40 mins at low pressure for EQ sake.

Anyone with a pump and gauge should really try Pulse Pumping

Dynamic Penis Pumping

Dynamic penis pumping, otherwise known as pulse pumping, involves the same theory as static pumping; however, instead of leaving the vacuum at a constant level throughout the session, it involves periodically changing from a high level (ex 5 hg) to a low level (ex 2 hg). I personally recommend pumping up to 5 hg for five minutes and then lowering the vacuum to 2 hg to thirty seconds. The cycle should be repeated two more time during the session.

Benefits of Pulse Pumping Over Static Pumping

One of the benefits pulse pumping has over dynamic pumping is that it generates more penile engorgement than static pumping over the same time frame.
.
In an experiment conducted by another PE web site A control pumper quickly pumped up to 5 hg and maintained the vacuum level at 5 hg for the entire session.

The pulse pumper slowly increased the vacuum to 5 hg and left it there for five minutes and then reduced to 1 hg for thirty seconds before returning to 5 hg for another five minutes and repeated the process throughout the session.

Using precisely measured water in both cylinders the results showed that the pulse pumper had a 33% greater increase in volume.

This fluid flow and gain process that creates enlargement is restricted by the pumping operation itself, in these three ways:

As swelling takes place, tissues are engorged- including those of the passageways bringing fluid in, actually reducing the diameters of those passageways.
There is a pinching pressure attempting to close these passageways right at the point where the cylinder entry meets your body. The passageways are part of the tissue being compressed by the sealing surface of the tube.
It is further complicated by another easily demonstrated process, that of “vacuum collapse”. Take a soft tube, and connect it to your vac pump. With an open end, it will suck indefinitely. Now squeeze the tube down in the middle. As the opening gets narrower, two things happen. One, the flow through the restriction reduces- and two, the vac level on the restricted portion increases. There comes a point where the internal vacuum itself pulls the tube closed- and all flow stops.
All of these conditions combine to either restrict or stop the process of enlargement. The longer the condition lasts, the tighter the restriction can get- and thereby further reducing the level of effectiveness, ultimately ending effective time altogether. The issue is one of making all the time in the pump effective time, and maximizing the level of that effectiveness.

Another important aspect of pulse pumping is that it mimics the natural process your penis goes through every night that we refer to as night wood. Accordingly, pulse pumping has a healthy aspect to it that static pumping lacks. In this connection it may benefit those suffering from low EQ or ED.

My experience of air pumping was that it was uncomfortable as hell, but it did give me a pretty impressive expansion. The expansion disappeared within seconds of releasing the valve though, to my disappointment. Unfortunately I also got a lump or air bubble on my dorsal vein (went away after a few days but scared the crap outta me) and I ultimately stopped using it.

They say that air pumping is not good because of fluid retention and that you'll make more gains by using water but idk if there's an experiment on that

Now my only experience w/any pumping is with my BM X40 and Goliath both modded w/The VacuVin, but I did a fair amount of research and the science behind using water made much more sense to me...the density of H2O allows for a stronger/safer pressure/expansion.

So even if I feel air is enough pressure, you don't think I'd gain? Does fluid retention hinder gains or something?

Here is someone that has made gains from air pumping @squirt_inducer_man

I have the Bathematte Hydromax extreme and the Zen Air Pump. I get more expansion from the Bathematte but I find it a lot more uncomfortable to use in comparison. The Zen pump is more convenient so there are definitely trade offs. Wish the Zen pump gel base would fit the Bathematte.. That would be awesome!
