You just starting lifting? I found what worked the best for me starting was this 5x routine
squats 3x5
bench 3x5
overhand press 3x5
rows 3x5
deadlift 3x5
3 times a week increasing sets to 5x5,and then increasing
weight 5 lbs every week after that. This worked great for me and I recommend it to anyone starting out. I wouldnt deadlift 3 times a week though. This is a tough routine for some beginners but you really gain fast starting out. The main thing with gaining strength and size is eating right though IMO so get that down and you will be on your way.
