I wanted to give you all an idea of what women think about restoration. As there is only one woman I know of that I could interview to get a woman's perspective, I sought my wife's help. Of course, I can only say that this is a biased interview. Before I asked her these questions, I told her that I wanted her to be as open and honest as possible. I did not want her to spare my feelings. Since she knows how passionate I am about FR, she agreed to be as honest as possible. Take that for what you will, but some of her answers surprised me and made me realize just how different men and women are regarding sex and circumcision.
What were your earliest impressions growing up concerning circumcised and uncircumcised men?
I grew up in Chicago. As far as I knew, everyone there was circumcised. I was raised to believe that all Christian boys were supposed to be circumcised, that it was the normal way to be, and that it was cleaner. I believed that uncut men were deformed and gross-looking. I guess I mainly got those ideas from my mother, who always blamed my father-- who was uncircumcised-- for giving her all kinds of female problems like yeast infections. My dad actually went to a doctor to see about getting himself circumcised because of my mother, but after he found out what they wanted to do to him, he took out of there like a shot!
Your husband is restoring his foreskin now. Have you had any past sexual experiences with an intact male?
No. I never even looked at an intact penis until my husband began to research foreskin restoration.
Not even fooling around with an old boyfriend? See one or touch one?
No, everyone we knew of was circumcised.
You didn't even hear any stories from your girlfriends growing up?
No.
What were your initial reactions when you learned your husband planned to restore his foreskin?
[Laughs] I thought: "Oh God! Gross! He has LOST it! How can I talk him out of it?" I was afraid that it would look deformed and that the foreskin wouldn't retract. I dreaded the thought of performing oral sex with all that extra skin, and was afraid that intercourse would feel weird.
At what point did you grow aware of changes to your sex life as your husband restored?
After a month or two, when the skin began to grow, I noticed that there was less friction and I stayed more lubricated. I also began to notice that the head was smoother and moister. It also seemed to get "thicker".
What are the differences that you notice compared to your sex life before he began to restore?
Before? The ridge of his head was very rough. When he put it in, I could feel the glans, corona and shaft distinctly, like they were seperate parts. His penis was very rigid and dry, regardless of how lubed I was. After I came, it almost felt like a dildo because of the friction. When I came, I wanted it over with shortly afterwards due to discomfort from dryness. Sometimes, if we were going at it, it would hurt if it "hit the spot" hard. Also, I thought his balls were big, but they were stretched up and tight to the shaft when he got hard.
What are your current feelings regarding his restoration, and what do you expect as he completes his restoration?
The main thing I can see, appearance-wise, is the color. His penis changed from a pinkish-red color to a nicer olive-tan color. His balls seemed to drop and take on a more natural shape. They do not seem to be stretched up the shaft so much. I also notice them hitting my rectum during sex instead of my lips, and it is a real turn-on for me. I enjoy playing with the skin during foreplay. [Giggles] It's my new toy! My husband is more sensitive, too, so I don't have to try so hard. I am looking forward to the point where he has better coverage when he's hard. He doesn't have full coverage yet. Also, his head is more pleasant to look at. It does not seem as swollen and mushroomy.
What about smell? Taste?
It tastes better when giving oral. It didn't have its own taste before. I could just taste my own saliva... or it tasted like skin, like the back of my hand. Now it has a real taste...more natural. I don't know how to describe it. It's not really sweet... Just it's own taste, I guess.
And the smell?
I haven't really noticed a different smell. All dicks smell like sweaty balls! [Laughs] Don't put that! That's gross! [Laughs]
Has your husband's restoration made a profound difference in your sex life?
God, yes! 100 percent! I was totally against it at first until I began to see the results. The difference is indescribable! No comparison. If I had been with an uncircumcised man first, I don't think I could go back. The main difference is lubrication. Lubrication is everything for a woman! I stay moist the whole time now. There's no friction. The corona seems less abrasive. The penis feels more whole, and less like it is distinctly seperated into parts-- the head, the ridge and the shaft. The gliding of the skin is more comfortable and pleasurable. I want to have sex longer. I was worried about the skin going in my vagina. I didn't understand how it worked, but I've found that it all moves together more naturally, like one part. Compared to uncut, a cut penis feels like a tampon being inserted without the applicator. Make sure you put that in there. The ladies will know what I am talking about. My husband is more passionate now and does not seem as hurried. He stays harder longer and does not thrust as hard. During sex, he stays in deeper and moves his pelvis against me more sensually. I thought all the hard banging was normal before, that it was good sex, but now I know the difference!
Would you recommend restoration to other wives?
Absolutely. I would encourage them to urge their husband's to restore if they are having any problems with lubrication, or just to enhance the pleasure of lovemaking. Tell them to make their husbands do it for a couple months and he will see the benefits, too! Make them do the work while you reap the rewards and enjoy! [Laughs] Also, I want to say this: As mothers, we make this decision to circumcise men, but we are only hurting ourselves. The truth is so distorted. No wonder so many women don't like sex.
Have you noticed any negatives with your husband's restoration?
[Laughs] Only that he has become obsessed with it...but I guess I would be too if I were in his place!
Note from Kong-- You can take this or leave it. These are my wife's words. I asked her to be as honest as possible. Some of the things she said really surprised me-- mainly that she did not notice a smell, because it is so worried over by men, and also the deal with the lubrication. I didn't know that lubrication was so important, but I guess it is for women. I know this is a biased interview, but I think it is also enlightening, and helps us see FR from a female's perspective. Thanks, baby!
