I'm having tape trouble. I've been using paper medical tape but it sticks really well to my skin, and as a result it's irritating my skin really badly. I had to take a day off from FR because it got so bad. Any suggestions on another tape to switch to?

Try band-aids or just plain old scotch tape. I've used both. Band aids seem to be the best, they already have the padding for over your glans :)

When i started t-taping my skin would get irritated and ichy, extremely ichy.
but it seemed to be alright as long as i was taped. eventually it went away. the tape i used was a hypo allergenic micropore tape.

I use J&J Sheer bandaids. Sticks very good with little irritation. Just pull that skin up and cross tape it in place over the glans. I like bandaids cause they're ready-made. Just zip 'em open and stick 'em on! No measuring. No cutting. No making a non-stick center with reversed tape to keep from getting the head stuck.

i was just wondering Kong do you just cross tape? or do you t tape also? cross taping doesnt offer much of a pull on the skin thats needed for skin expansion as does t taping. just curious.

I am not too clear on what the difference between t-taping and cross taping is. Although I have heard a few guys mention a difference, no one has come out and explained it to me-- as well with my searches on the net. Mention is made of a difference, but that difference never fully explained...that I have read, anyway. Could you please enlighten me so that I don't seem like a fool. Thanks!

T-Taping is nothing like cross taping. It involves wrapping tape around the shaft which has an extra flap of tape connected to the centre of it. It looks like a T, you then pull up over the head and attach the bits sticking out and attach a suspendar to it.
Here is a picture:

What method are you using Kong?

I guess that makes it cross-taping. I don't add any kind of pull to it. Just pull the skin up over the glans and tape once vertically and once horizontally to hold it stretched over. I was a little confused at the naming because when you cross tape, you are actually making the tape into a + configuration at the end. Stupid me!

So kong you have seen all your progress through cross taping?
Have you not done any intense tugging or stretching to it at all?

Just cross taping and manual exercises. I may try the TLC tugger or cat device or a pump soon. I am also going to post some progress pics if I can just find my camera! I don't know where it got to...

How much time and intervals do you spend at manual tugging?
I have actually started this myself and I seem to be gaining a fair bit, the only thing with cross taping is once you pee, you have to throw the tape away as it loses its stick. Any way around this?

Oh, I know there are many methods. I find cross taping to be the most convenient for me so far. I have, in fact, joined several Yahoo groups, but I don't visit there very often. I am a MOS man!

well i just thought you'd like to educate yourself alittle bit more thats all after all you have a forskin restoration site and you don't even seem to know that much about t taping and thats pretty much the basics of foreskin restoration. if your serious about FR then maybe you should check the above link out or check into your own groups more often, after all theres people here that look to you for advice and if you you cant give them the proper advice then maybe we here at MOS should forget the FR questions and stick to Penis Enlargement.

I don't claim to know everything. Never have. Never will. I don't see why we should drop FR here because I wasn't sure what the difference between t-taping and cross taping was. Jeeezzz.....! Hey, maybe you could help me out here! :D

Kong, How do you get around the tape being unusable after it has been unpeeled? you carry a roll of tape around with ya? :D

i know you didnt claim to know everything, but you seem to be the main advocator of restoration around here and even have your own forskin site. so when someone talks the talk that you do maybe he should educate himself alittle more, that way he could be of some help. i offered a link to a helpfull site on a topic that you seemed so passionate about ( and i thought you honestly where) and instead of a thanks i'll check it out, you come off with this i'm a MOS man thing. have you seen a circumsision Kong? theres a disturbing video on the site that shows a baby being cut, if your as passionate as you think are, go watch it, it will fuel that fire even more. theres info on pumping the skin, t taping manuals and pictures, to show you how to make and apply t tapes, and lots more.
oh well i'm done my rant its up to you if you want to learn.

Sorry if I came off somewhat uninterested and flippant. You are, of course, correct. Please just understand that I have worked the last 4 weeks without a day off, relocating my business, and am a little scatterbrained right now. Although my humor was weak, I was only implying that I wanted to concentrate my work here on mos and not on the yahoo websites. I am known and comfortable here and have already covered a broad range of topics concerning FR on MOS. If you feel upset with me, please see my disclaimer below. :D
