I am a pretty big consumer of soy. I drink a considerable amount of soy milk each day in my whey protein shakes because I'm lactose intolerant. I often eat soy enriched protein bars. I drink lots of fruit smoothies with soy protein. After reading about the effects on testosterone, I'm beginning to wonder whether I'm interfering with my Penis Enlargement gains, bodybuilding, and libido.

For the next month I plan to cut soy out completely. I'll report back the results. Any others have experience with this?
 
There is no doubt that soy contains phytoestrogens, but the debate is whether or not these phytoestrogens BLOCK estrogen receptors (acting like a Clomid or Nolvadex) or are powerful enough to act like real estrogen.

Try this out Dex; I'd love to hear your report!

It's only been a few days since I quit soy, and I can't believe how hard it is to avoid the stuff. It's in everything! Certainly most of the high-protein snacks I've relied on since I began bodybuilding. That said, I've managed to stick with the whey products. It's probably too early to tell, but if today's Penis Enlargement session was any indication, my libido's certainly gotten a little boost, lol. It was quite intense and I didn't really want to stop! We'll see. I'll report back.

There are quite a few protein supplements out there (even protein bars) that have no soy at all. It shouldn't be too tough to find them. Seeing how ripped you are on soy, now without those estrogens, you might give some of the "big boys" a run for their money!

Well, we'll see about that, lol. But at least I'm hoping for a little boost to the libido...for Penis Enlargement purposes, of course!
 
UPDATE:

Well, I'm five days into the experiment and I must say that it feels like "something" is happening. It may just be a placebo effect, but I have been having many more spontaneous erections than normal. Awakened several times last night by hardons and had one for a considerable amount of time this morning. Maybe I'm just going through some cycle. I'll keep my eyes on this to see if the positive benefits persist. In any event, I can't complain. I went through a grueling Penis Enlargement workout the other day and the positive PIs just keep flowing!
 
Good news. One suggestion would be to monitor body composition as well.
 
I don't know about Brian or Goldmember, but I do know that soy has helped bring my PSA ? (spelling) down to a fraction of 1 and a (suspect) pre-cancerous nodule in my prostate to a completely harmless anomoly. My urologist who pooed-pooed soy, now tells me to keep eating it.
 
I would be surprised if even this type of soy intake had a noticeable impact. I suspect placebo effect. But, interested.

Care to link to the best studies any of you have found of soy effect on testosterone, estrogen etc?
 
Brian I know this is a post from long ago but how has your results effected you? Just from the picture when you post you look to be cut as hell and in shape.. Did you ever notice any fat build up in or around your nipples as that can be a side effect of taking soy..

What kind of soy are you taking? Is it a pure isolate soy protein from say like GNC? I belive these types of soy proteins have the "isoflavions" removed which can cause the negative effect from soy... There have been studies done on both sides of this issue so whats to say??

I cannot take whey protein because I have an allergic reaction, it took me forever to find a safe and effective alternative for me.. I switched over to egg whites.. If you can eat eggs as I can, than there really isn't a better alternative... You can buy "liquid eggs whites" off the internet they are a bit more expensive but well worth it..

If you want to stay with soy then get pure isolate form like maybe soy 95 from GNC, but the egg whites are great. They just mix with gatorade or juice and deliver like um over 35 grams I think per cup...
