And even if Jenny was yelling "RUN CLAD RUN!" I'm not sure if I'd go any faster.

Training for my first real 5k in a few weeks. I haven't really ran in almost 20yrs up until 2 months ago. When I was in boot camp I managed 21:30 on a 3 mile run (5k is 3.1 miles) and the next 4yrs my average was 24-25 minutes. We had to make it in under 28 minutes or we failed. I know I'm not super fast as a distance runner but I'm trying.

Ran 3km 2 days ago with a 5:45 km/minute average. Today I went 3.5km with a 5:54 average. I'd love to be at 25 minutes for this 5k but that's asking a LOT in 3 weeks. I may set my sights a little lower and just try to get to 28 minutes. My final timed run in service was 27:56 (I'll never forget that) and I was ungodly sick hacking, coughing, and blowing snot the entire way and hadn't run in 2 months. I think being under 28 is realistic at this point in time.

Need to do more sprints and leg work and only distance every 3-4 runs. Trying to build endurance and speed at once. If anyone has any other tips I'll take them. I don't have gym access though so weights are out of the question. I may load 2 gallons of water into my backpack for some running though. The extra 15lbs will make me work harder. If I put a cat in there that's an extra 8-20lbs depending on which one I take.

maybe use a backpack for the water and a Baby Bjorn for one of the cats (but this time remember to notify YouTube)

Lol

Carrying some weight should help especially if I'm doing sprints and uphill sprints. I'd LOVE to run as fast as I did when I was 19 but that's a long way off. I'm 30lbs heavier but a lot of that is muscle. Having short thick legs doesn't help when it comes to running either.

I've been trying to eat a little healthier. The only fat I need to lose is a bit of my fat pad and my lower belly. Otherwise I'm okay. It's the age that's adding the fat there.

After every run I make a protein shake with vanilla protein, whole milk, and finely ground oatmeal. Tastes like drinking a granola bar. I should do that on non run days too for breakfast. It's clean energy and fills you up for a while.

That shit would go viral! :)

That would be funny.

This running thing does suck some days. This morning was rough probably because I took the weekend off. I should just keep it every other day. I seem to run better that way.

Hats off to you clad. It has been a lot of years since I have done any kind of running and only did it then because it was part of the job. I agree with you that hitting it every other day would help keep you conditioned.

Yeah 2 days off seems too much for me right now. It's rough but at least I'm trying to get in a little better shape. Been wanting to for years.

There is no better exercise than running. The I lost all that weight years ago it was largely due to running 2 miles everyday. It was hard at first, I had to walk most of the time. Then the shin splints came and that was tough but eventually I was able to do it. That with a decent diet can make all the difference in the world.

I do not concur. Swimming is better than running. We had overweight guys in my unit and the solution was to take them running sometimes as much as 11 times a week. None of them were losing weight.

One really hot day they were asked if they'd actually swim or just screw around in the pool. They were swimming 5-6x a week and running when we all team together. These guys were timing themselves and racing each other every day in the pool. They also changed their diets a bit. All of the sudden they were dropping 1-2lbs a week. Withing 3 months all but 2 were at or under the max weight for their height and the other 2 were within a few pounds.

Then stupidity stepped in and they were told to swim on their own time, running was the real solution. All of them started getting fat again.

Diet is absolutely the biggest thing for weight loss. Swimming, however, is awesome for low impact high energy exercise.

I don't have a routine but I stay pretty active when I am not working so I guess it is better than nothing.

Last year I registered in a gym but after a one month period, I gave up. Growing our penis and also doing exercises in combination will give a wonderful result. I wish I can start jogging again.

Being active helps. I enjoy my lazy time very much but at work I'm constantly active. Still wasn't enough to lose a little weight though and had to stop eating as much junk. Got a doc appt tomorrow so I'll see if I've lost any weight the past few weeks.

I think it raises some eyebrows when people hear me say I'm trying to lose a little weight. I'm getting that lower belly fat that comes with age and trying to get rid of it while getting in a bit better shape. Some of my pants have gotten tight. Its cheaper to lose the excess weight than buying new clothes.

I don't know if I could do a gym routine and PE. The years I was going to the gym it was an hour and a half total for stretching, workout, then shower. At least with running I can knock it down to half that time.

Speaking of which, time to get stretched and get out for sprints.

I think doing a full body transformation is best, tackle all issues in the best way. Remember, losing weight is gaining visual penis size!

Full body makeover that'll also help your mind. Get that natural dopamine high from exercise, add in frequent sex if possible, and you'll be walking on clouds no matter what happens in your life.

Ever since I started gaining weight, my penis now looks short

That'll do it. I gained 15-20lbs at one point and mine looked smaller. I was not happy with that.

just wait until your 50's...when I was younger I could eat anything and never gain a pound, as soon as I hit 40 things began to slow-down and at 50 it got even worse. Diet and exercise are paramount now that I'm on the downward slide to 60

In the same boat, getting older, fat is dropping down to the fat pad. Embarrassing to myself! :) Working to fix this as I look pathetic in comparison to the past when I was lean. Can you loose size after becomes permanent? No, but it will appear that way if you gain fat.

That's why I'm trying to make lifestyle changes now so when I hit 50+ it's not as hard to stay active. Hopefully I can keep at it and make some form of exercise a permanent part of my life. I've got 4-5 months until the cold weather will push me indoors. As long as I keep it up I'll be able to find an alternative by then.
