Belated hello

It's not hard. You do not use oil. Never put oil on rubber gaskets, they will deteriorate. Use silicone grease on tube from CRC.
Shows how knowledgeable I am about this stuff!

I see 4 screws and a pin for the pressure gauge. Is that all I need to undo?

Let's break it down with greater clarity.

Could you explain this a little more?
Two approaches. You can pump at 5inHg to allow the tissues to naturally warm up. Once your blood pressure reaches around 3.5inHg, you reach a natural erection. The blood's warmth will naturally warm your internal tissues. There is no hard adding more warmth to maximize the malleability of the internal and external tissues. We recommend it.

Now, rather than pumping at the higher pressure, forcing the vacuum pressure to pull more blood into the penis, it's better to naturally force the blood into the penis through normal erection and kegels. This programs the mind to obey your erection on demands, especially when there may be ED involved, or just due to aging process. Once sufficient blood is in the penis, normally at 100% volume (no need to be erected at this point), Slow Squash Jelq allows you to sculpture the areas of expansions, be the glans, the shaft, the base, or the entire penis. Forcing the blood to balloon and engorged in the penile body is more advantagous through internal expansion than forcing the blood to just engorged through external force from vacuum pressure. However, by taking advantage of both processes, you maximize and balance the expansion by breaking down the tissues from both approaches. Why? Because your hands can only do so much to break the tissues through pure brute force. You need mechanic assists as well to push past 100% of the volume expansion.

Should I be seeing much post workout expansion at this stage?
Yes, you should. If you do not see at least 5% beyond normal erectile expansion, your routine is lacking the aggressive expansion. Slow Squash Jelq alone after 15 minutes should bring in at least 5%. Pump and Slow Squash Jelq should bring forth at least 10%.

With the hand position for the Slow Squash Jelq, it seems difficult to get your hand right down to the base, and most of the time, I seem to be working on the top half of the shaft. Is that right?
This is where the trick to Slow Squash Jelq comes to play. Once you grab the base, it should remains at the base. The hand at the base does not need to more. It acts more as a gentle constrictive hold instead of a bending or flexing assisting hand.

Also, Re using a cockring after, do I need to actually be staying hard, or is a full and fat flaccid/semi enough?
A cock ring post routine does not require you to remain erected. You need to get an erection to get the blood in, but that's it. Try to push as much blood in as possible. The cock ring is simple to hold the blood temporarily through a restrictive hold so your blood volume continues to crank the cellular gaps wide open during healing. It's like wrapping or wearing the extender/traction device after length work. It's to crank the gaps wide open for the body to heal and fill in the gaps for growth. During this time, an erection is not needed. Otherwise, it will feel very uncomfortable.

So maybe rice sock before, and red light after?
Sure. Rice sock to maximize the warm on top of natural warming if you have that extra time to spare. I like to use 5 minutes to warming while setting things up.

Nor really started any lengthwork particular yet. Honestly can work out how to velcro the silisleeve straps to any effective use... and then I'd have a lot of questions about which was to strap it, whether I'd use the tension gauge etc.
When you are ready, slow down, ask one subject at a time to get full clarity, mod properly, adjust the fitting, test run the new mods, and continue on. Don't rush.

What is the sleeve for though, it is like the other shorter one I posted a picture of in this thread? To help the sleeves stay attached to the vacuum device?
Sleeves act in two ways. The sleeves can act as a passive traction device with greater comforts, just like wrapping for length work. The sleeves also work in protecting your skin while pumping by controlling edemas, but this is a very thin sleeve about 2mm thick. Rather than wearing sleeves for this purpose, just do Slow Squash Jelq and reverse C-jelq. Sleeves also work as device assist for extender and traction devices, especially for the vacuum cup types.

Shows how knowledgeable I am about this stuff!

I see 4 screws and a pin for the pressure gauge. Is that all I need to undo?
I can create a video. But it has to really be something that are useful. Because I have already taken apart my MityVac - Wet and Dry Penis Vacuum Pump System vaccum pump ~4 times.
It's not made to be taken apart constantly. Just sometimes.

Let's break it down with greater clarity.

So is 5Hg the maximum I need to go to? I see some people are going up to 10Hg?

what was the second approach?

I am going into the tube erect already. Also, i see people saying "you need to stay erect in the tube" I am always full size under pressure and assume everyone else would be... or are they meaning it needs to remain a natural erection, not just one created by the vaccum? Once i come out of the tube then I am my erect size, but not fully erect.
Now, rather than pumping at the higher pressure, forcing the vacuum pressure to pull more blood into the penis, it's better to naturally force the blood into the penis through normal erection and kegels. Im sure I read in several places that DLD was saying you cannot increase glans size, is this no longer believed to be true? (I love the proportions of my dick already, so if I could grow everything relatively equally that would be amazing!)
Yes, you should. If you do not see at least 5% beyond normal erectile expansion, your routine is lacking the aggressive expansion. Slow Squash Jelq alone after 15 minutes should bring in at least 5%. Pump and Slow Squash Jelq should bring forth at least 10%.
Even while I am in the early days and potentially still conditioning? It does feel like it is potentially thicker after. I found it hard to confirm my initial erect girth as I had already started doing light manual expansion and on a good day it was a bit thicker than others. Would I need to measure right after my workouts to confirm this? It's always difficult to maintain full erection while measuring, and I guess 5% is not a massive increase!

I'm definitely not seeing 10%, I'm pretty sure of that. Also, when I upped my Slow Squash Jelq intensity, this is where I saw potential edema, and also there is a vein that looked like it was ballooning below the glans, but before the foreskin starts. Should I be concerned about that?
This is where the trick to Slow Squash Jelq comes to play. Once you grab the base, it should remains at the base. The hand at the base does not need to more. It acts more as a gentle constrictive hold instead of a bending or flexing assisting hand.
Yes, i am using the base hand to anchor... but i find it difficult to get right at the very base. Just to check, i am using a grip where my palm is facing down towards the pubic bone. I tried the opposite way, overhand, but then its difficult to do the jelqs.

I am doing more of a compression, pushing the two points i am holding closer together, as opposed to actually sliding the hand down like the traditional upward jelqs, is that correct?

So, intially when i do this, my penis is erect size but soft, but after a minute, already it has reduced to more normal flaccid length, but definitely with more blood in there. Is this enough to be filling the gaps as you suggest?
When you are ready, slow down, ask one subject at a time to get full clarity, mod properly, adjust the fitting, test run the new mods, and continue on. Don't rush.
OK.. I would like to start getting a length routine going, even if manually... I guess I could use the sleeves rather than the stretcher to begin with whilst learning the pumping.

Lots of comments I've seen say to work on length first then girth. Obviously I've done this the other way round. Any benefits to doing one versus the other? When pumping in the MityVac, I seem to go past the 7-inch mark which is above my BPEL, but not sure how accurate the markings are.

I will say it again, as I know you have spent a lot of time replying to me, but thank you... I appreciate the effort you are putting in to.help me understand!

Sorry, forgot to reply to that bit... I dont want you to have to take it apart if you don't need to.

Would those 4 screws and the pin I mentioned be the things I need to take out to take it apart or is there more to it?... I'm wary of doing something, and then I can't put it back together!

I am seeing two different types of Slow Squash Jelq, in the big thread of videos, it is an overhand grip at the base, and then pushing on the end of the head.

Another video I've seen (as well as DLDs one using the silicone cock), is more of a grip at the base and a downward jelq from the top.

Which is correct?

So is 5Hg the maximum I need to go to? I see some people are going up to 10Hg?
5inHg is the initial point for growth. It's considered as a lowest boundary pressure to force the penis to grow. Slowly, you have to go up, and up, and up, and up. 10inHg is considered as a max safe limit as your penis adapts over time. Don't be too eager to pump harder and get higher in pressure. Only go up in pressure once you can feel your penis is not responding to pressure at 5inHg. Creep up slowly and take advantage of the lower pressure expansion. For brothers with dense tissues that work against the pressure at 10inHg, they wil have to push hard to go beyond it.

By the way, there is a big different between air and water pressure. So, make sure to approach things differently. Air vacuum is more different in terms of variability than water. What you feel at 5inHg in water is completely different than air.

what was the second approach?
Air vs water? Which approach you're planning to use predominantly? On top of that, what's your side objectives? An example of objectives: ED resolution, good expansion but not worry about girth, focus on length over girth in pumping while girth is still desireable in the process, pump more than Slow Squash Jelq routine but don't like to have ademas, and so on and so forth.

Yes, remain naturally erected in the tube as possible. Under vacuum pressure, your tissues expand. Natural erection forces more blood into the expanded area, causing the expansion to get bigger internally. What we want is internal expansion. External expansion is ademas or fluid retention. Not good to have. When you come out of the tube, you don't have to be erected. Take that time to relax before Slow Squash Jelq or the next pumping session.

Im sure I read in several places that DLD was saying you cannot increase glans size, is this no longer believed to be true? (I love the proportions of my dick already, so if I could grow everything relatively equally that would be amazing!)
Glans can be influenced for growth, depending on how you work your routines. My glans remain larger than the rest of my shaft, and as you haven't noticed, as your penis increases in girth so does your glans. Urologists said it's impossible to increase your glans. Well, that myth got busted since 2009.

Even while I am in the early days and potentially still conditioning? It does feel like it is potentially thicker after. I found it hard to confirm my initial erect girth as I had already started doing light manual expansion and on a good day it was a bit thicker than others.
No matter where you are in the process, you are conditioning your penis for the next phase. Starting out, you're condition your penis for growth. During growth, you're conditioning for bigger growth. During major growth phase, you're conditioning for cementing and plateau phases. It's constantly a major cycling of going one step further.

Would I need to measure right after my workouts to confirm this? It's always difficult to maintain full erection while measuring, and I guess 5% is not a massive increase!
Sorry to say, but 5% is good increase. 1% is a still a good increase. 10% is a phenomenal increase. 25% is a master of all increase. Think about how much work your body is putting into the efforts of just increasing its size beyond the genetic constraints.

Slow Squash Jelq intensity and pumping higher vacuum pressure will force all components to grow, be the blood vessels, the foreskin, the nerves, or the blood volume. What you see bulging is the blood vessels working their hardest to support blood flow. As long as you don't see a small little bulge like a baloon along the vein, you're fine. If you have a nice segment of large blood vessel more than 2 inches long, your blood vessel is expanding to accomodate the specific blood delivery pathway for that area. If you're uncertain of vessel expansion versus thrombosis, take a snapshot.

Yes, i am using the base hand to anchor... but i find it difficult to get right at the very base. Just to check, i am using a grip where my palm is facing down towards the pubic bone. I tried the opposite way, overhand, but then its difficult to do the jelqs.
Find your best and comfortable positioning of the hands for the routine. There is no wrong and right way. It's about effective and efficient compression of blood in between the penile shaft.

I am doing more of a compression, pushing the two points i am holding closer together, as opposed to actually sliding the hand down like the traditional upward jelqs, is that correct?
Yes, that's the squash part. The sliding is simply a compression jelq, going from the base toward the glans.

So, intially when i do this, my penis is erect size but soft, but after a minute, already it has reduced to more normal flaccid length, but definitely with more blood in there. Is this enough to be filling the gaps as you suggest?
Gaps must constantly be pried wide open. When you stop your jelqing, or allow the penis to drop to shriveled flaccid state, the gaps are reduced. This is why we wear a restrictive device to force the gaps to remain open for the cells to repair and duplicate to fill in the gaps.

Length gains is much much harder and longer to achieve than girth gains. Girthwise, you're expanding laterally with less components to expand and regrow. Length wise, you're forcing your penis to under go growth longitudinally. Lots of components in your penis need to growth along with the penis. So, if you're fine with your girth for the time being, put all efforts into length. If length is fine, focus all on girth. This is more of a personal preference than requirements.

I will say it again, as I know you have spent a lot of time replying to me, but thank you... I appreciate the effort you are putting in to.help me understand!
