I'm a bit confused being a novice to these water pumps. The X's have the complete package with hand ball pump, and the lower priced ones do not. I don't really care for all the accessories, but the hand pump I might want. Is the hand pump necessary for increased pump per se, or is the connection piece at the top pushable for more pump too?

the nozzle/valve at the top release vacuum pressure when pushed. i have a BM hercules and get great pressure without having a hand pump for it. BUUUUUT if you can afford it i would get it with a hand pump. But if you can afford that you can likely afford an electric vacuum pump like i use. NOTHING BETTER FOR PUMPING IMO. below is the link to my vids of it.

I've have had the hercules and x30 but never really used them much, the Xtreme however i love and the hand pump is great. It is great for increasing pressure, especially keeping the pressure level. Just put it on and start to pump with the hand pump, it's much more user friendly and gives more suction aswell.

I have the hand pump and it's great, just start off with the hand pump from the beginning, it gives more pressure and great for maintaining the pressure with small pumps.

It is definitely less expensive to go without the extreme, just go with a regular X30 or X40 and add a wine vac if you want more vacuum. This will save you money and give you the same basic function.

your name is bathmate... is my assumption that you have all the BMs and wear a BM t shirt correct?

i will share this. some get the wine vac to work and say it works great. I COULD NEVER GET IT TO WORK. the little rubber seal would not stretch over my BM valve.i tired everything suggested in this forum and no luck

Do you have any extra silicone from your sleeve left over? You might give this a try: http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/...ump-forum/83589-wine-vac-help.html#post590781

I'm also pretty sure you could modify a ball pump (think I seen your air pump post showing one) and use the silicone somehow to create a seal and pump that way. Some type of coupler I suppose.

You try the vinyl tube adapter mod?

I started on the X30 and just upgraded to the XX40. I think both have pros and cons. I didn't like the x30 until I did the wine vac mod. That was a game changer in itself. I couldn't get the rubber seal to work either so I just took a thick rubber band and wrapped it over the valve 6 times or so to create a seal. Worked great for me. The xx40 does have a limited pressure that the ball will pump to. I have very happy with both of them as you can't go wrong. As long as you get the right size so you are having comfortable sessions to keep you pumping.

The rubber band idea is brilliant, thanks for posting. This would make the wine-vac work across all models.
