I've only been back on my current routine for about 3 full legit days of steady work. Overall I think it's not -what- you do but more -that- you do it. If you manual stretch for an hour a day or if you hang for an hour if you stay on task and do it the same amount of time each day you do it for at least 5 days a week then you're on the right track.
Things I also believe, one multiple session throughout a day are not going to be fruitful for beginners and will probably work to hinder results more than they help. It's like any workout if you start doing it everyday for 2 or 3 times a day you'll cause more damage than you'll help. You have to allow the healthy regrowth process to happen which happens on the days off and on the nights you sleep. I mean remember most people spend years stretching before they can do the splits without trouble.
