Okay, I strongly believe in the free flow of ideas here on this forum. Everybody has different opinions and this is as it should be, but Shafty I've noticed you have a tendencey to jump the gun quite often and you like to stick to your preformed opinions regardless of what facts you are presented with. When I was speaking of the average individual's excessive protein intake being stored as fat I was refering to the foods groups: i.e. grains=carbs, meat/dairy=protein. Instead of making an inquiring as to what I meant in my post for clarification, you immediately jumped the gun and responded in your typical sarcastic and condescending manner. You're entitled to your opinion but I do not appreciate your tone. I was especially unimpressed by your obvious ignorance in the whole "going vegan" thread. You are clearly an intelligent individual but you lack tact and you don't always know what you're talking about.
Steak/protein=calories. Bread/carbs= calories. That's what I was talking about. It does't matter what type of food group is in question, they all have calories. Most people, especially Americans, eat way too much food from the meat/protein group. If you can piss away all the calories from 16oz. new york strip steak I gotta meet you because you're way cool. rofl Look, I'm not trying to start an argument here in this thread. I was simply posting to let Still know he had a very valid and mostly overlooked point. I respect everyone that puts their time and ideas into this forum and I just would appreciate the same in kind. Peace.
