From your guys experience, which gives you the best results?

I had never really considered hanging until I read the hanging forum section and read about guys that had made very good gains within a short space of time. So I thought I'd post here and see what you guys opinions are? It seems from reading a bit on there that its best to use heavy weight for a short time although obviously you would have to build up to using heavy weights

Hanging is just as good as manual stretching but it does require much more privacy and time. When I was experimenting with hanging I created a workout called Pyramid Sets which worked very well for me.

Couldnt you use heavier weights and perhaps do 2 or 3 10min sets per day? Or would this not be enough?

When I was hanging I trained for 3 hours a day, it was just too much time. 3 ten minute sets with heavy weight sounds like a good starting routine but over time you will want to increase the time to maximize gains.

Is it because you are stretching from lots of different directions and angles whereas hanging is pretty much just from one?
 
Angles and force. You stretch in more angles and your hands can exert more force than you can tolerate as a newbie hanger. If you don't mind doing manual stick with it. It's a lot less trouble than using gear. I wish I had the patience or whatever it is that you need for manual.

Well I emailed BIB to ask him a few questions about hanging. One of the things that he said was that he hasn't really heard of anyone making gains of 1.5" (my goal) doing only manual work? Do you guys agree with this?

I would like to start hanging but don't want to get bad discolouration because of it.
 
As is always the case, there are guys who claim 1.5 or 2 inches from strictly manual but who knows if the claims are true? I don't know how much pulling on your dick that would require but it sounds like an all day thing to me.
 
Whatever the case its all about putting strain on your penis, however you do it, hanging, manual, [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]extenders[/words].. I've heard of excellent gains from [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]extenders[/words], same with manual and hanging, its all about how you wana do it and as DLD says, how much time you have and how much privacy you have. Whatever the case, I hope you have good gains whatever path you choose :)
 
Both hanging and manuels will help one gain but with hanging you can measure exactly how much force is being used and monitor this with each workout, unlike manuel work as you dont know exactly how much force you are useing when you pull and cant gauge this from each workout like with hanging.

This to me is one of the pro's of hanging vs manuel work, being able to measure your increase in intensity accurately and not by feel alone.
 
In manual stretching, particularly fulcrum stretching (using the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]Power Assist[/words]), gives much more intensity than hanging but for a shorter time. Hanging gives longer reps with less intensity. I guess the gains would depend on how your body reacts to the two different stretching methods. I can not give a fair comparison because I started with manuals and only hung later for a short period.
